Ecstasy (MDMA) has been one of the most popular drugs since the 1980s. It is considered one of the most dangerous drugs and is ranked as the 8th most dangerous on a scale of 1 to 10. Ecstasy use among teens increased from 2009 to 2012. Reported emergency room visits due to ecstasy use were highest in the West and South regions of the United States. Ecstasy can cause side effects like anxiety, depression, and damage to the brain and body. It can negatively impact relationships, academic performance, and lead to legal and health issues.

• To this day it has also been

dangerous drugs out there. In

being the highest).

• Depression = A serious medical condition where a
person feels sad, unloved, hopeless, and
unimportant. This causes them to be unable to live
normally.
• Hyperthermia = Very high fever
• Brain Damage = Injury to the brain that impairs the
brains functions permanently.
• Kidney Failure = When the kidneys are unable to
excrete waste.
• Hyponatremia = Dangerously low sodium in the
blood, usually connected with dehydration.
