The proposed West Memphis Ecomuseum would link existing and new attractions in the West Memphis area to preserve local heritage and traditions. It would comprise various historical and cultural sites throughout the region, connected by improved paths and trails. The main goals are to raise awareness of local plants and wildlife, spread cultural education, and better connect all parks and attractions. Proposed infrastructure improvements include developing sidewalks, trails along the new Harahan Bridge, and a bioswale along Broadway/Highway 70. Existing trails like the Arkansas Delta Music Trail could also be incorporated.

A case study on Public spaces....DELHI HAAT....(INA).Dilli Haat is an open-air food plaza and craft bazaar located in Delhi, run by Delhi Tourism and Transportation Development Corporation (DTTDC). Unlike the traditional weekly market, the village Haat, Dilli Haat is permanent. It is located in the commercial centres of South Delhi, opposite INA market. The 6 acres of land on which this complex is situated was salvaged as part of a reclamation project and transformed into a plaza. Extensive foundation work, small thatched roof cottages and kiosks give the plaza a village atmosphere. Some shops are permanent but other sellers are rotated, usually for fifteen days. The architectural features of the complex have been especially designed in the traditional north Indian style, with brickwork jail (lattice) and stone roofs.A hall in the complex specifically caters to exhibitions of the handlooms and handicrafts. A souvenir shop, also displays attractive ethnic products. The small thatched roof cottages and kiosks, without any concrete structures provide a village atmosphere. The shops are set up on platforms, which act as a link in the Bazar design. The courtyards between the shops are paved in stone and interspaced with grass to retain a visual softness. The landscaping of the area incorporates colourful flowering shrubs and trees, thus the entire complex is in harmony with the environment.
Architecture is the art of spaces. The human feelings were influenced by architectural
space from time to time. Relating to the design of a history museum, it could evoke a
certain feeling or memory of a historical event. This dissertation focuses on the
influence of architectural space over period of times.
A theoretical as well as practical key issue in the design of museum and galleries is how
the layout of space interacts with displays to create a specific effect, express the intended
message to visitors. This dissertation aims to capture and represent the history of
mankind’s understanding of space in the design of an architectural building.
Architecture can be traced in history since the beginning of civilization. It is an ancient discipline
and the results of its thinking and endeavor provide us with some of the most lasting examples of
our culture. Our monuments, cities, and village speak of our culture over the longest span of
time. Yet, the representation of architecture and its role in our society has not flowered. To
bridge this gap in understating between the profession and society, a National Museum of
Architecture is needed. The designed museum should provide spatial variety and inspire a sense
of visual excitement, thus contributing to the overall concept of entertainment and learning.

Vision to Reality: Monroe's New Community Library & Restored Southern Pacific...Dan Sheets
The initial purpose of this project, “Vision to Reality: Monroe’s New Community Library & Restored Southern Pacific (SP) Railroad Freight Depot,” was to pass time during a period of unemployment. Over the weeks and months that followed, I captured over 10,000 images of this construction and restoration project. In addition to capturing all those images, I gained a new respect for this community and everyone who contributed to bringing this vision to reality. The new building was more than just a library, it symbolized the community’s commitment to its past, present and future. As a result my purpose changed from just capturing images to documenting and sharing a remarkable piece of local history.
The scope of this project is to document the construction of the new Monroe Community Library and restoration of the former Southern Pacific Railroad’s freight depot from the perspective of local railroad history and preservation.
Lastly this project is dedicated to the residents of Monroe, Oregon and the surrounding South Benton community. We have the unique opportunity to walk into a new library that celebrates our community’s past, present and future.

"From Russia With Love":--- A Memorial to 9-11-01Bruce
The world-wide struggle against terrorism began with the tragedy of 9-11-01 when al-Qaida, led by its leader, Osama bin Laden, hyjacked three domestic flights in the United States and crashed two of them into the twin towers of the World Trade Center in NY City and the other into the Pentagon in Washington, DC. This is a review of the responses made, beginning with the 'Teardrop Memorial' given by the people of Russia and so symbolic of the world-wide struggle with terrorism, and ending with what two Presidents of the United States have done about it.
An hour-long presentation about visitor participation in museums, with a focus on history institutions. First presented at the Missouri History Museum on 22 July 2010. Created by Nina Simon, Museum 2.0.
Great neighborhoods are often anchored by great places. These are distinctive places that add identity and character to a neighborhood or district. Stevens Point Wayfinding Design Concepts.pdftoddaxia
The City of Stevens Point, Wisconsin contracted Avia Design Group to design, plan and help implement a city-wide wayfinding program to support the city's brand and to improve visitor navigation through the City and to its destinations.
The new program will help establish aesthetic features that celebrate Stevens Point's unique sense of place and to enhance the region as a vibrant community and memorable destination.
Wayfinding guides people to and through environments combining traditional wayfinding devices with digital technologies. Our goal is to point people to destinations, elevate their place experience, enhance their sense of discovery and, just as importantly, support the brand.
Avia Design Group's approach to the development and management of successful wayfinding programs combines 3 decades of experience with current technological methods. We understand national and local compliance requirements and how to facilitate public consensus. We maintain strategic partnerships with digital developers, urban planners and fabricators. We regard wayfinding as an orchestra of accomplished musicians and instruments of which we orchestrate for harmonious results that benefit our clients.

The Redstone Run Highland Reserve comprises 8 acres at 25309 Highland Rd, Richmond Heights. Here, the stream cuts through the hard Euclid bluestone to create a small gorge in the softer shale below. The reserve conserves local nature and history. With it, the Friends of Euclid Creek can foster education and research on important watershed issues. Join us, Tuesday, May 6, 6:30 pm for a tour of the reserve with presentations by Roy Larick, Al Klonowski and Claire Posius.
