• Made primarily from vegetable fibre and starch, the Ethical Coffee Company capsules degrade within 180
days in the ground or within 60 days in industrial composting. The capsules are biodegradable according to
the stringent EN13432 standard.
Plastic capsules can take up to 500+ years to degrade and aluminium capsules between 150 – 200 years.
