Polish people prepare traditional Easter baskets filled with painted eggs, meat, bread, butter and cakes to take to church on Easter Saturday to be blessed. On Easter Sunday, families gather to share the blessed food and eggs from the baskets and wish each other well. Another tradition is for boys to pour water on girls for good luck on Easter Monday, called "śmingus-dyngus".
