"EASTER EGGS"
AUDIENCE INTERACTION
• On my website I used "easter eggs" which
were little cartoon images of some of the
icons I used for intertextuality in my
magazines and across my platforms.
• Because the issue "currently released" and
relevant on the website is the Madonna
issue I used a cartoon of her and edited her
into an icon in which website users (when
indicated from other products) can click
and will take them to an exclusive pop-up
link with 25% off of the clothing line
advertised across the platforms
• I also made an icon of a cartoon image of
Bowie when talking about the next months
issue with a David Bowie tribute, and when
clicked on a pop-p link appears with a link
to pre-order limited edition versions of the
cover
• This indicates that using famous people
across digitally convergent platforms will be
a regular thing, where audiences will be able
to find the relevant icon and click the
eateregg for some exclusive content
