Both Pilate and Herod found no fault in Jesus, yet the voices of the chief priests and crowd, under Satan's sway, prevailed in demanding his death. If logic had prevailed, Jesus would not have been crucified and there would be no salvation from sins. However, God's will triumphed over human logic in allowing Jesus to die for our sins according to the Scriptures.

Religious freedom- Jamaica /The shaking - TrinidadAntonio Bernard

This document provides commentary on chapters 2-4 of the book of Matthew from the Seventh-day Adventist Bible Commentary.
1) It describes the events surrounding Jesus' birth, with the wise men searching for him guided by a star. It notes the Jewish leaders should not have been ignorant of such an important event.
2) It explains Herod's killing of infants in Bethlehem was allowed by God to humble the pride of the Jewish people. Their sins were so great God permitted this affliction, and He would have protected them if they had been more faithful.
3) It discusses Jesus' baptism, with angels present and the Holy Spirit descending as a dove as God declares Jesus as His beloved Son

C. S. Lewis’ reaction to the Sermon on the Mount stated, “As to ‘caring for’ the Sermon on the Mount, if ‘caring for’ here means ‘liking’ or enjoying, I suppose no one ‘cares for’ it. Who can like being knocked flat on his face by a sledgehammer? I can hardly imagine a more deadly spiritual condition than that of a man who can read that passage with tranquil pleasure.” Certainly, in consideration of this beatitude and promise of persecution, this observation is profoundly true.
This document discusses the difference between biblical faith and presumption. It argues that much of what is called faith today is actually presumption, which involves believing something without proof or overstepping boundaries. True biblical faith is trusting completely in God and obeying his word, not wishing or demanding one's own way. The document cautions against superficial or self-serving ideas of faith and promotes understanding faith as trusting God's character and promises as revealed in scripture.
Isaiah 59:14-20. Based on Sermon: Why Did God Deal with Sin? (Dave Stewart), 2014 January 26
The story of man is the story of sin. In this lesson we will examine sin and why a holy and loving God would deal with sin. For many of us, our first thought is that Jehovah dealt with sin because of His wrath. This seems to be an incomplete answer. Rather as a loving Father he dealt with sin to bring us back into a righteous relationship with Him.
Many of these thoughts were inspired and borrowed from Jim McGuiggan’s book: The Dragon Slayer, chapter 2: The Road leading to Bethlehem and Golgatha.

The document discusses the importance of love according to 1 John 4:7-12. It says that God showed his love for us by sending his Son to be the atonement for our sins. Because of how much God has loved us, we ought to love one another. When we love one another, God remains in us and his love is perfected in us.
There’s a lot of empty space with people making empty claims about God and Jesus and life and truth, but those quite frankly don’t add up, they sound good, but they’re hollow like this wall, and they can’t support the weight of your life, and if you try to anchor yourself to it, you’ll fall.
This document discusses how Jesus Christ serves as our advocate and the propitiation for our sins. It notes that if we sin, we have an advocate in Jesus, who turned God's righteous anger into favor through his sacrifice. It emphasizes the importance of keeping God's commandments and walking as Jesus walked in order to know that we abide in him.

Suzanne Lagerweij - Influence Without Power - Why Empathy is Your Best Friend...Suzanne Lagerweij
This is a workshop about communication and collaboration. We will experience how we can analyze the reasons for resistance to change (exercise 1) and practice how to improve our conversation style and be more in control and effective in the way we communicate (exercise 2).
This session will use Dave Gray’s Empathy Mapping, Argyris’ Ladder of Inference and The Four Rs from Agile Conversations (Squirrel and Fredrick).
Abstract:
Let’s talk about powerful conversations! We all know how to lead a constructive conversation, right? Then why is it so difficult to have those conversations with people at work, especially those in powerful positions that show resistance to change?
Learning to control and direct conversations takes understanding and practice.
We can combine our innate empathy with our analytical skills to gain a deeper understanding of complex situations at work. Join this session to learn how to prepare for difficult conversations and how to improve our agile conversations in order to be more influential without power. We will use Dave Gray’s Empathy Mapping, Argyris’ Ladder of Inference and The Four Rs from Agile Conversations (Squirrel and Fredrick).
In the session you will experience how preparing and reflecting on your conversation can help you be more influential at work. You will learn how to communicate more effectively with the people needed to achieve positive change. You will leave with a self-revised version of a difficult conversation and a practical model to use when you get back to work.
Come learn more on how to become a real influencer!

Carrer goals.pptx and their importance in real lifeartemacademy2
Career goals serve as a roadmap for individuals, guiding them toward achieving long-term professional aspirations and personal fulfillment. Establishing clear career goals enables professionals to focus their efforts on developing specific skills, gaining relevant experience, and making strategic decisions that align with their desired career trajectory. By setting both short-term and long-term objectives, individuals can systematically track their progress, make necessary adjustments, and stay motivated. Short-term goals often include acquiring new qualifications, mastering particular competencies, or securing a specific role, while long-term goals might encompass reaching executive positions, becoming industry experts, or launching entrepreneurial ventures.
Moreover, having well-defined career goals fosters a sense of purpose and direction, enhancing job satisfaction and overall productivity. It encourages continuous learning and adaptation, as professionals remain attuned to industry trends and evolving job market demands. Career goals also facilitate better time management and resource allocation, as individuals prioritize tasks and opportunities that advance their professional growth. In addition, articulating career goals can aid in networking and mentorship, as it allows individuals to communicate their aspirations clearly to potential mentors, colleagues, and employers, thereby opening doors to valuable guidance and support. Ultimately, career goals are integral to personal and professional development, driving individuals toward sustained success and fulfillment in their chosen fields.

Easter 2017 - Experience Living Water
1.
2. A woman from Samaria came to draw water.
Jesus said to her, “Give me a drink.” (For his
disciples had gone away into the city to buy
food.) The Samaritan woman said to him, “How
is it that you, a Jew, ask for a drink from me, a
woman of Samaria?” (For Jews have no
dealings with Samaritans.)
3. Jesus answered her, “If you knew the gift of
God, and who it is that is saying to you, ‘Give
me a drink,’ you would have asked him, and he
would have given you living water.”
- John 4:7-10
5. “None is righteous, no, not one; no one
understands; no one seeks for God. All have
turned aside; together they have become
worthless; no one does good, not even one.”
“Their throat is an open grave; they use
their tongues to deceive.”
“The venom of asps is under their lips.”
6. “Their mouth is full of curses and
bitterness.”
“Their feet are swift to shed blood; in their
paths are ruin and misery, and the way of peace
they have not known.”
“There is no fear of God before their eyes.”
- Romans 3:10-18
7. He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree,
that we might die to sin and live to
righteousness. By his wounds you have been
healed.
- 1 Peter 2:24
8. “as far as the east is from the west, so far does
he remove our transgressions from us.”
- Psalm 103:12
9. Because of Jesus:
1) I can be 100% sure that my sins are forgiven.
2) I can be 100% I will live forever
10. The first man was from the earth, a man of dust;
the second man is from heaven. As was the
man of dust, so also are those who are of the
dust, and as is the man of heaven, so also are
those who are of heaven. Just as we have
borne the image of the man of dust, we shall
also bear the image of the man of heaven.
- 1 Corinthians 15:47-49
