This article discusses different approaches people take to determining right and wrong and argues that the only true standard is God's word. It notes that while people often want to do things their own way, the Bible says that humanity cannot direct its own steps. The only way to true life is by following God's word and having it God's way, not by our own relativistic standards or traditions. Jesus is the way and invites all to enter the narrow gate leading to life.

We should model our friendships after Jesus, who was willing to sacrifice himself for his friends.

The article discusses the negative effects of bitterness, including that it troubles people, defiles them, divides them, and damns them. It notes that bitterness can cause trouble in marriages, friendships, and churches. While some sins like murder are obvious, bitterness can be overlooked but still cause harm. The article encourages readers to examine their own hearts for bitterness and get rid of it if found.
The article discusses the rise of permissiveness in society and the church. It argues that people have become more devoted to pleasure than God. Examples given include pursuing entertainment and sex. The author claims this is why attendance at worship is declining while events like sports games remain popular. He calls on Christians to stand against this trend and "preach the word." The obligation to oppose permissiveness belongs to all Christians through their spheres of influence.
This article discusses the importance of continually looking to God and keeping Him as the focus. It examines the phrase "keep looking up" by exploring what it means to keep praying and seeking God. It encourages readers to develop a strong desire to be with God in Heaven by focusing on Him rather than earthly things. The article closes by emphasizing that God is always watching over us, and we should return His love by keeping our attention on Him.
This article discusses the dangers of distraction for Christians. It provides the example of a mother who was distracted and forgot her baby in the sun, blinding it. The parable of the sower is used to show how distraction prevents God's word from taking root. Distraction opens the door for Satan to attack. Christians must set their affection on heavenly things and not lose focus on their salvation. Staying engaged in sacred duty helps remain safe from the dangers of the world.
The article discusses how the Word of God is sufficient to motivate Christians to carry out God's directives. It provides three main reasons for this: 1) The Bible contains foundational teachings that help explain commands and make them understandable and possible to follow. 2) The Bible's essence as the inspired, holy Word of God from the Creator captures attention and motivates obedience. 3) The Bible provides motivating examples of faith from the Old Testament and Jesus that encourage enduring hardship as they did. The article argues the Bible thoroughly instructs and motivates Christians through information, essence, and examples.
The document is a church bulletin that provides information about upcoming church events and needs. It includes a summary of a sermon about the importance of prayer, noting we can come before God's throne for mercy and help in times of need. It also lists church leadership, birthdays, those in need of prayer, and details for an upcoming youth trip to Six Flags.
The article discusses how America can strengthen itself spiritually. It argues that America has forgotten God despite its blessings of wealth and power. It quotes Abraham Lincoln saying America has become too proud and self-sufficient. The article urges Americans to pray for the country's leadership, repent of sins, follow God's word, and remember that God owns the land. Following these principles would exalt America through divine strength.
This article discusses three levels of faith: personal faith, congregational faith, and "the Faith" (God's commandments). Personal faith refers to individual beliefs that are not necessarily proven by scripture but sincerely held. Congregational faith consists of beliefs held collectively by a congregation, such as dress codes or Bible translations, that guide but are not mandated by God. "The Faith" encompasses the essential doctrines and teachings delivered by God that all Christians must adhere to. The problem arises when personal or congregational beliefs are imposed on others or presented as on par with divine truth. Christians must accept one another's liberties as long as core Faith is not violated.
This document provides information about church services and events for East Main Church of Christ in Tupelo, Mississippi. It includes announcements for upcoming Bible studies, Vacation Bible School, a youth trip to Six Flags, and condolences for a recent passing. Church attendance numbers and contributions are reported. The elders are reviewing surveys from the congregation. Those who are sick or in nursing homes are also listed.
The article discusses the importance of proper communication between Christians, which requires both speaking and listening. It notes that we cannot truly know what others are thinking without them revealing it. Christians must have an attitude of a listener in order to communicate effectively. The Bible teaches that believers should be swift to hear and slow to speak.
The article discusses the command in 1 Thessalonians 5:21 to "prove all things." It examines what this means based on the original Greek word, which refers to testing or putting things to a proof. It says the early Christians were to test claims about God's will, messages from the Spirit, and prophetic utterances. Today, any religious teachings need to be examined against the Bible. Christians are also to "hold fast to what is good," using God's standard from Scripture, and "abstain from every form of evil," as God determines what is evil. Obeying these commands requires knowledge of God's word, commitment to do right, and courage to carry out right actions.
Lição 12: João 15 a 17 – O Espírito Santo e a Oração Sacerdotal | 2° Trimestr...OmarBarrezueta1
Introduction
Mantra Yoga is an exact science. "Mananat trayate iti mantrah- by the Manana (constant thinking or recollection) of which one is protected or is released from the round of births and deaths, is Mantra." That is called Mantra by the meditation (Manana) on which the Jiva or the individual soul attains freedom from sin, enjoyment in heaven and final liberation, and by the aid of which it attains in full the fourfold fruit (Chaturvarga), i.e., Dharma, Artha, Kama and Moksha. A Mantra is so called because it is achieved by the mental process.

Astronism, Cosmism and Cosmodeism: the space religions espousing the doctrine...Cometan
This lecture created by Brandon Taylorian (aka Cometan) specially for the CESNUR Conference held Bordeaux in June 2024 provides a brief introduction to the legacy of religious and philosophical thought that Astronism emerges from, namely the discourse on transcension started assuredly by the Cosmists in Russia in the mid-to-late nineteenth century and then carried on and developed by Mordecai Nessyahu in Cosmodeism in the twentieth century. Cometan also then provides some detail on his story in founding Astronism in the early twenty-first century from 2013 along with details on the central Astronist doctrine of transcension. Finally, the lecture concludes with some contributions made by space religions and space philosophy and their influences on various cultural facets in art, literature and film.

PHASE V
From this deep ocean of silence in the heart region, let one OM emerge as an audible sound which diffuses into the entire body and the space all around. Enjoy the beautiful vibrations.

Muladhara is the root centre of physical experience, located at the base of the spine, the sacral plexus. The square represents the earth itself, the four dimensions and the four directions. Four allows for completion, and earth embodies the elements and conditions for human completion on all levels.
Muladhara Chakra is the meeting place of the three main nadis: Ida, Pingala and Sushumna. The downward-pointing triangle indicates the downward movement of energy and the three main nadis.
The seed mantra is Lam, the yellow square represents the earth element. The Muladhara chakra governs the vital breath Apana. An inverted triangle in the centre of the square encloses the unmanifest Kundalini, represented as a snake wrapped in three and a half coils around the svayambhu (self born) linga. Because her mouth faces downward, the flow of energy is downward.
The opening at the entrance of the sushumna is called brahma-dvara, the door of Brahma, which is closed by the coils of the sleeping Kundalini. As soon as one begins working with Muladhara chakra, this dormant energy awakens, raises its head and flows freely into the channel of Sushumna, the central nerve canal that runs along the spine. These two aspects of the kundalini: sleeping and waking, are identified as her “poison” and her “nectar.” The kundalini is poison when she remains asleep in the lower abdomen; she is nectar when she rises up through Sushumna, the medial channel, to reunite with Siva, the Absolute, in the yogin’s cranial vault.
In the pericarp is found the presiding deity Brahma, the lord of creation. His skin is the color of wheat, he wears a yellow dhoti and a green scarf. Brahma is four-faced, four-armed, holding in his upper left hand a lotus flower, the symbol of purity.

The Book of Revelation, filled with symbolic and apocalyptic imagery, presents one of its most striking visions in Revelation 9:3-12—the locust army. Understanding the significance of this locust army provides insight into the broader themes of divine judgment, protection, and the ultimate triumph of God’s will as depicted in Revelation.
The Revelation Chapter 7 Working Copy.docxFred Gosnell
John witnesses the sealing of God's 144,000 witnesses, and he hears the crying out or shouting of an unnumbered multitude of those who have been saved during the great tribulation.
This is an intermission scene before opening the seventh seal. We have seen six seals opened revealing of the events that would shortly occur. The first 4 reveal what was to occur in the great tribulation during the destruction of Jerusalem by the Romans in AD70.
The fifth seal reveals the question from those slain as to when the Lord would avenge their death. The sixth seal reveals the answer to them from the One on the throne and of the Lamb which would be the punishment of their persecutors and accomplices. John sees four messengers/angels holding back the four winds of the earth & keeping them from blowing on the earth, the sea or any tree. In this figurative language, these are not heavenly messengers/angels. These represent those who are trying to restrain the word of God everywhere. Their efforts are restrained by the messenger in verse 2, preventing them from holding back the 4 winds, the spread of the gospel of Christ by His messengers/angels. These 4 winds stand on the four corners of the earth, Rome’s worldwide influence to stop its spread. But the gospel will be preached in all the earth. See the study for the Bible passages that support this. John hears the commands given relating to the sealing of the servants of God and the figurative number representing them. John sees a great multitude standing before the throne of all nations and kindreds and people and tongues who are clothed with white robes. All the messengers/angels stood around the throne and the elders and the four beasts fell before the throne and worshipped God. One of the elders asks John what those were that were wearing white robes. John said he knew and the elder identifies them. The chapter ends with his explanation.

NEED A BREAK?
Barry Kennedy
“I’m tired!” “I cannot take it anymore!” “The more I give, the more they take!” “I
am just plain fed up!” Do any of these quotes sound familiar to you? No doubt, most of us
have said this, or at least felt this way, on more than one occasion. Is it wrong to feel this
way? Does feeling this way make one sinful, or weak spiritually? To say one is guilty of
sin and weakness for feeling this way would be going a bit too far, but there is a danger in
such a disposition. What should the child of God do when he or she finds themselves
needing to get away from all the pressure of this world? How many of us “need a
break?”
Sometimes we do not recognize that we need a break. Moses is one of the most
famous characters about which one can read. Moses was a man in need of a break, but
interestingly enough, he did not recognize that need. Exodus 18 records how that the
people of Israel were coming to Moses with their questions. The Bible records how that
Moses sat deliberating from morning until the evening. Jethro, Moses’s father in law,
having watched the events transpiring, clearly saw that Moses was a man who needed a
break. Jethro said, “Thou wilt surely wear away (emph. mine B K), both thou and this
people that is with thee:” (Exodus 18:18). Sometimes friends or loved ones see that their
loved one needs a break first. Moses needed to “share” some of the workload for the
benefit of everyone. He took the advice of his father in law; would we?
Even God’s people need a break. The events in Moses’s life, just discussed in
the above paragraph, is a great example of how God’s people need a break. Having said
that, Moses is not the only example of one of God’s people needing a break. In fact, some
of Jesus’s closest friends needed rest (Matthew 26:36-45). Jesus, and His apostles, went
into the garden of Gethsemane before the crucifixion. Jesus was there in deep distress and
needing to speak with the Father in prayer. The apostles having just finished the “last
supper” with their Master, found themselves physically fatigued and needing rest. Jesus
prayed for one hour and came back to find them asleep. Jesus said to Peter, “What, could
ye not watch with me one hour?” (Matthew 26:40). Jesus returned to praying and His
disciples returned to their slumber. Jesus was not unconcerned about their fatigue and told
them softly, “Sleep on now, and take your rest: it is enough, the hour is come; behold, the
Son of man is betrayed into the hands of sinners” (Mark 14:41). Jesus understood, and
understands today, that the body needs rest if one is to be prepared. “Watch and pray, that
ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak” (Matthew
26:41).
Even while taking a break one should be making preparations. There is a
story told about two wood cutters challenging one another in a contest to see who could
cut the most wood in a day. One man challenged another to an all-day wood chopping
contest. The challenger worked very hard, stopping only for a brief lunch break. The other
man had a leisure lunch and took several breaks during the day. At the end of the day, the
challenger was surprised and annoyed to find that the other fellow had chopped substan-

-tially more wood than he had. "I don't get it," he
said. "Every time I checked, you were taking a
rest, yet you chopped more wood than I did."
"But you didn't notice," said the winning
woodsman, "that I was sharpening my ax when I
sat down to rest." Just as the words of Jesus rang
true with His disciples, they ring true today. We
must be ever vigilant especially considering our
adversary is Satan. “Be sober, be vigilant; because
your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh
about, seeking whom he may devour:” (1 Peter 5:8).
A hungry lion could make a quick meal out of an
exhausted prey. Satan, our adversary is no doubt
having a “field day” with the slothful weary souls of
man today. What about our lives? Can we say that
we are in need of a break, if nothing more than to
sharpen our blades? “Iron sharpeneth iron; so, a
man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend”
(Proverbs 27:17).
God has in His plans a way for man to care
for both the physical and the spiritual well-being.
One of the ways this is accomplished is through His
church: the body of Christ. Just as the physical body
is designed to transfer all necessary nutrient
throughout the body, as well as remove all the
harmful waste, the spiritual body of Christ is to
provide the same services. The question is, “What
are we as individual members of His body doing to
help other members who are in need of a break?”
Will we allow our brothers and sisters to help us
sharpen our blades? Are we willing to sharpen our
brother’s blade and our blades as well? God knows
that we have needs (Matthew 6:8; 31). He also
understands that there are times when we need a
break. May He help us to be watchful even in our
short times of rest, remembering that Heaven is a
place of rest (Hebrews 4:9), not for the rested.
There we will never have need of a break ever
again.

to help other members who are in need of a break?” Will
we allow our brothers and sisters to help us sharpen our
blades? Are we willing to sharpen our brother’s blade
and our blades as well? God knows that we have needs
(Matthew 6:8; 31). He also understands that there are
times when we need a break. May He help us to be
watchful even in our short times of rest, remembering
that Heaven is a place of rest (Hebrews 4:9), not for the
rested. There we will never have need of a break ever
again.
