unable to deliver enough air (oxygen) to the lungs. ENT surgeons also treat
sleep-related disorders such as sleep apnea and excessive snoring; a
procedure called laser-assisted uvula palatoplasty (LAUP) will remove
tissue to allow for unobstructed airflow.

(otoplasties), special surgery for diseases in the inner ear, and skull-based

History and physical examination of the ears, nose, throat, head, and neck

with light sources (i.e., otoscope for ear examinations) enable ENT
