This document provides a user's guide for generating EADDR statistics from Hyperion reports. It outlines the steps to navigate to reports in Hyperion, select corps, run queries, export results, convert the file format, import it into an Access database for processing, generate output spreadsheets, and troubleshoot potential issues. The process takes approximately 15 minutes to run queries in Hyperion and automatically generates statistics.

2. Navigate to the appropriate query.

3. Select all eight corps (or whichever ones you need) before clicking Process.

4. After about 15 minutes, the query results will be displayed. Click Export Data.

5. Save the results as Hyperion 2008mmdd.xls, where mm and dd are month and day.

6. Data Conversion
The spreadsheet exported by Hyperion must be upgraded to version 2003.
Do this by double-clicking Hyperion 2008mmdd.xls
On the File menu, click Save As …
In the dialog box, change the file type to Microsoft Excel 97 - Excel 2003 & 5.0/95 Workbook (*.xls)
Click Save.

7. Data Processing
Make a copy of EADDR Stats Generator.mdb on your hard drive.(You can't run it from the network drive.)
Double-click EADDR Stats Generator.mdb and click Data Prep to open the Data Prep form.
Click the import button to select the upgraded Hyperion spreadsheet.

8. Double-click the spreadsheet. The file is automatically imported and tallied.

9. Data Output
A new spreadsheet is generated automatically, as well!

Look at the blue status bar to make sure you imported the correct spreadsheet.
Review the list of processed FTax groups. You can add new FTax Groups using the FTax Manager.

10. Data Presentation
The spreadsheet that you just created is text-only. Do not copy and paste data from it to the master spreadsheet!
If you want to print the spreadsheet, you should adjust the column widths as shown. In addition, you'll need to
go to the Page Setup option under the File menu. Change the page orientation to landscape.

11. Troubleshooting
I Forgot the Password
The password is xxxxxxxxxxx
I Got a Run-time Error #3274!

You forgot to upgrade the Hyperion report. See Data Conversion on page 6 of this guide.
Click End to return to the Data Prep form, fix the spreadsheet and try importing it again.
Program Seems to quot;Freezequot;
If the hourglass doesn't change after about ten seconds, then the program probably can't find a linked table.
Press and hold the Ctrl key while pressing the Pause/Break key on the keyboard. You should get an error
message. Click End to return to the Data Prep form.
Go to the shared drive and make sure you can find CXCommon.mdb in the same directory as
EADDR Stats Generator.mdb. If it is missing, copy it from your hard drive.
Test the links by trying to open the FTax Manager form. If you get an error at this point, it will actually tell you
where it was looking for the table.
Otherwise, close the FTax form and import your Hyperion spreadsheet.
Corp Stats Missing
Assuming you have not disabled that corp's FTax group, the only other reason a corp would be missing is if it
were not present in the Hyperion report!
It's not necessary to redo all other corps. Use the output to update the statistics.
Then start over from Data Source on page 1 of this Guide. This time, just select the missing corp(s).
What's FTax Manager?
This undocumented utility allows you to create, enable and disable groups of FTax areas within a single corp.
If you take a peek inside, you'll see where it used to have smaller statistical groupings enabled.
The utility has some instructions, just be careful!
