This document defines and provides examples of key chemistry concepts including mixtures, elements, compounds, alloys, colloids, solutions, distillation, filtration, evaporation, flammability, reactivity, and chemical changes. It also asks questions to test understanding of these concepts.
Glen Doman style presentation for kids. Each information bit is red, bold word followed by a real life image of the word. This allows the child to absorb both the word and its picture (Vs picture only). Also, they get the moment to imagine what the picture will look like.
This document provides instructions for creating a basic customer form in MS Access, including selecting the customer table as the record source, adding text boxes to display fields, changing labels, and adding a combo box to search and select customers by name with the names sorted alphabetically.

The document proposes a research project to understand how to best meet the needs of teenagers in Blackburn with Darwen for recreational activities. It summarizes:
1) Previous small-scale research found most teenagers prefer a new skateboarding venue.
2) The proposed research team has already done some preliminary work and can provide evidence of matching funds.
3) The research aims to understand teenagers' interests and barriers to accessing existing facilities through quantitative and qualitative surveys, with the goal of informing a new recreational space for teenagers.

The Canadian Disability Policy Alliance is a national collaboration between disability researchers, community organizations, and policy-makers. It is funded by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council for 5 years. The Alliance will address four policy areas: employment, education, citizenship, and health services. The goal is to create and share knowledge to improve disability policy in Canada and promote equity for people with disabilities.
This document discusses online reference resources and promoting their use. It begins with an introduction to subscription electronic resources and their application in reference work. It then provides tips for expanding knowledge of resources, learning about new resources, and examples of resources in action. The document emphasizes having fun promoting electronic resources and provides a roadmap to do so, including familiarizing yourself with resources, identifying target audiences, planning promotions, and evaluating success. Promotion examples and tips are given, such as creating sound bites, avoiding jargon, and using a promotion calendar. The goal is to share resources in a targeted way without overwhelming audiences.
Two educational organizations in Piscataquis County, Maine collaborated to offer 15 self-sufficiency skills classes taught by Extension staff and volunteers. Over 100 people from 3 school districts enrolled in classes like beekeeping, maple syrup tapping, and livestock care. Post-class evaluations found that 100% of attendees rated the classes excellent, would recommend them to others, and wanted more classes from the instructors. Both organizations plan to continue partnering to provide valuable educational opportunities.
The document describes a stem cell and cell culture program for high school students offered through a partnership between City College of San Francisco and local high schools. The program offers classes in stem cell biology that allow students to earn college credits and exposure to stem cell research techniques. It provides an opportunity for hands-on lab work and has expanded to additional community colleges and high schools. Challenges include ensuring equal access for students from different schools and addressing transportation issues.

Distance Students at RSOE & SOWK: Lessons Learned and Challenges for the Futureusclibraries_pdc
This document discusses distance learning programs and library services at the University of Southern California. It provides an overview of graduate programs offered through distance education across several schools at USC. It then describes how distance learning is delivered through synchronous and asynchronous methods using interactive, media-rich technologies. The document outlines the library services provided to support distance students, including outreach, instruction, reference, collection development, and web-based resources. It discusses lessons learned around proactivity, accessibility, flexibility, embedment in courses, and developing a sense of membership. The conclusion emphasizes that there is no one-size-fits-all solution for distance learning and library support.

What is a practice you will change as
a result of attending livestock QA?
• I will be reading up on medication/feed requirements for my
large poultry/waterfowl
• I will make sure to clean the pigs water pan before giving them
more water and help clean the food pan before more food is
given
• Keep and maintain records of my animal
• Ration my rabbit’s food and make a caretaker checklist
• I will read the feed bag labels more closely University of Nebraska–Lincoln

Why do you think it is important to learn
about livestock QA?
• So I know what to do when my animal is sick
• So I can provide a good product for consumption
• Keep animals and meat safe
• So we know how to take care of our animals better
• So our animals are treated properly and we are safe around
them
