abstract


This project is concerned with computerization of the “Maintenance of products” in several
concern such as medical shops, bakeries, etc.
       In this project the details of every item is stored in separate table. The details about the
product such as item code, item name, total no. of items, selling price per item are stored in a
single table. The details about the order are stored in different table i.e. company name, mail id
etc. Type of mode i.e manual or automatic is also managed.
       Expiry date of each item is also recorded in a table. If the expiry date of particular item
reached then the system will inform the user to replace the particular item. So that the quality of
the product is increased.
       Account for the users is also maintained, so that only user who have rights is access the
software project. So this will protect the unauthorized user to access the software.
       Addition ,deletion and modification of the record is really a easy process. They can be
made by just clicking .These process are not difficult. Just we enter the details and click the
respective place.
       The project satisfies the entire needs of the concern in the process of maintaining these
records and saves the time. The project helps in efficient management of each concern.
2. SYSTEM ANALYSIS

2.1 STUDY ON EXISTING SYSTEM
       The system, which is followed at present, is a manual system, which has elaborated
function for every process, hence management of data manually was too difficult. Existing
system was studied; it seems to be very difficult to maintain the details of every customer, item
and supplier . It is a tedious work in the existing system to allot the work to every department.
They are maintaining their details in hard copies(i.e. Hand written format) . Every time they send
only the hand written copies for purchasing yarn, accessories etc..
       The project is developed to maintain all these details in a easiest way. The project having
all facilities to store and retrieve data , Maintain and know the order status every time. So it is
helpful for the end user to work easy with the help of the project.

            Large amount of clerical Time required.
            There is always delay in information search and retrieval.
            Administrator does not support for multiple request from client.
            A qualitative work cannot be achieved.
2.2 STUDY ON PROPOSED SYSTEM
       Proposed system uses HTML,Java Script,ASP as front end and MS Access as back end.
The new system should be more users friendly with online context sensitive help with messages
display about what to do next.

2.2.1 Defining The Problem
       If we are not satisfied with the existing system or if the existing system does not fulfill
our requirement then we have to find out the problem where the existing is not functioning well.
       Problem analysis is conducted with the following objectives in mind
            Evaluate the customer requirement for feasibility.
            It takes lot of time.


2.2.2 Developing Solution Strategy
            The system is developed in such a way that it would be the best user-friendly
              system.
            Fast and accurate .
            It reduces the clerical time.
            A complete security is providing for viewing and selecting the product details
              only by authorized person only.
            Data handling like insertion deletion and updating is made easy.
            Fast search and information retrieval is possible.


2.2.3 Anticipated Advantages
            Every Transaction is obtained and processed        immediately.
            Avoids errors by avoiding the manual work.
            User friendly screen to enter the data and enquire the database tables.
            Provide Hardware and software securities.
