DSS helps the organisation enhancing effectiveness, promotes
learning, increasing personal efficiency which leads to cost
reduction and increasing competitive advantage.

that’s not all, Paytm App is used to Pay bills, do Recharges, Send
money to friends & family, Book movies & travel tickets.
The company offers mobile payment services to consumers and
enables merchants to receive payments through its QR code, point of
sale and online payment gateway offerings

Demonetizations
Between November 10 and December 20, Paytm added over 20 million new users.
There was over seven million transactions per day which was more than the
combined average daily usage of India’s 24.5 million credit cards and 661.8
million debit cards.
200 percent increase in downloads and 10 fold increase in the addition of
money in the wallet right on the night of demonetization.
Due to the higher engagement On December, Paytm app reportedly disappeared.
They contracted with retail shop owner as well as Wenders to use paytm QR
COVID-19
Due to covid-19 the growth of Paytm has significantly increased
No of the new user was increased by 2.5-3 times
But the growth has increased 3.5times as per uses

RECOMENDATION
1. Since, majority of the customers Paytm are youth. Therefore, the company shall
introduce features that persuade the other age group members to use the app more
often.
2. Since people today also prefer cash transactions over e-transactions. Therefore,
Paytm must create awareness among the people about the benefits of the same.
3. People mostly use Paytm for the recharge & bill service that they provide.
Therefore, to increase the usage of Paytm, they shall make the other features of the
application more users friendly and attractive.
4. They must create a robust feedback mechanism so that people can write about
their experiences both good and bad. And work on the areas where customers are
facing problem.
They must focus more on advertising in order to make Paytm visible to mass
audience.
Paytm has been one of India’s most successful and well know startups from
the last decade. The company’s ability to remind valuable to both the
merchants and consumers has propelled it to become one of India’s leading
financial services provider.
The insights we can draw from the Paytm case are: the importance of being
experimentative; focusing on two sides of the market, both customers and
sellers; an intense focus on simplification and enhancing the user experience;
and being sensitive about incoming opportunities
