12. ASTHMA – EPISODIC FORM
Cause is known as either by Allergy, or respiratory tract infection.
Individual suffers from acute spasm attacks and responds nice to bronchodilators
13. ASTHMA – STATUS ASTHMATICUS
It is severe and persistent attack, and is associated with respiratory failure or
insufficiency.
Individual do not responds to bronchodilators.
14. ASTHMA – CHRONIC FORM
Characterized by persistent dyspnea (difficult or laboured breathing) and wheeze (whistling
sound).
It is due to inflammation and thickening of bronchial mucosa.
It is correlated with excessive secretion of mucus, decreased elastic recoil of lung
tissue and bronchospasm.
