Avabahuka is a common condition which badly affects the routine domestic activities of patients like combing; bathing etc. interference in occupation by the illness is equally true both in patients with sedentary office work as well as heavy field work. Ayurveda has a great role to manage this disease successfully. Nasya is one among the treatments told by Acharyas for the management of this disease. A comparative clinical study on Nasya with Karpasasthyadi Taila and Nagara Taila had been taken to assess the effect of Nasya Karma and the drug in managing Avabahuka. The comparative effect in managing the same disease is also assessed.
OBJECTIVE OF THE STUDY
1. To evaluate the efficacy of Karpasasthyadi Taila Nasya in Avabahuka.
2. To evaluate the efficacy of Nagara Taila Nasya in Avabahuka.
3. To compare efficacy of Karpasasthyadi Taila Nasya and Nagara Taila Nasya in Avabahuka.
Two groups were made and the results obtained in both the individual groups were compared. The study design selected for the present study was prospective comparative clinical trial. The sample size for the present study was 30 patients suffering from Avabahuka as per the selection criteria. Patients were randomly distributed to both the groups of equal size.
Group A - 15 patients received Nasya with Karpasasthyadi Taila.
Group B – 15 patients received Nasya with Nagara Taila.
In group A 15 patients (100%) had got Prayika Shamana(61-99%) , and no patient (00%) had got no response to the treatment ie Guna Alabha. In group B 13 patients (81%) had got Prayika Shamana(61-99%),02 patients(19%) had got Amshika Shamana (31-60%), and no patient (00%) had got no response to the treatment ie Guna Alabha.
In Group A Shoola B T -53% and after follow up 91%, and in Sthabthatha i.e. Unnamana - B T- 42% and after follow up 66%, Avannamana B T- 43% and after follow up 84%,Akunchana B T-39 % and after follow up 81% and Prasarana B T- 61% and after follow up 87%, Triyakgamana BT-60% and after follow up 77%.

A Clinical Study to Evaluate the Efficacy of Sadyo Vamana with Dhamargava Kal...ijtsrd
Among many diseases which hamper the pranavaha srotas, Tamaka shwasa stands first. It is predominantly kaphavataja vyadhi originating from pittasthana. Aggravated Vata leads to pratiloma gati, enters the pranavaha srotas, afflicts the Kapha and produces symptoms like peenasa, ghurghuraka, shwasa, kasa, pramoha, parshvagraha, lalata sweda, vishushkasyata. In modern science same thing is understood as Bronchial asthma. It affects an estimated 300 million individuals worldwide. Among India’s 1.31billion people, about 6 of children and 2 of adults have asthma. This condition requires atyayika chikitsa in its acute onset which gives quick and instant relief of complaints. Sadyo vamana karma is one such procedure which can be adopted when the vitiated kapha dosha is in Utklishta or Uthsanna avastha in its swasthana. In Modern science the usage of corticosteroids for longer time produces adverse effects. Hence there is need to find out a treatment which are safer, nontoxic and cost effective. By considering all above factors, in present clinical study 30 subjects diagnosed as tamaka shwasa were subjected to Sthanika abhyanga with Murchita tila taila ,Nadi sweda with brihat panchamula kwatha and sadyovamana with Dhamargava kalpa. Statistically significant results were seen in all the subjective and most of objective parameters. Dr. Seema Holeppagol | Dr. Rajesh Sugur | Dr. Shilpa Sree. June 3, 2024 Anti-Semitism Letter Sent to MIT President Kornbluth and MIT Cor...Levi Shapiro
Letter from the Congress of the United States regarding Anti-Semitism sent June 3rd to MIT President Sally Kornbluth, MIT Corp Chair, Mark Gorenberg
Dear Dr. Kornbluth and Mr. Gorenberg,
The US House of Representatives is deeply concerned by ongoing and pervasive acts of antisemitic
harassment and intimidation at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Failing to act decisively to ensure a safe learning environment for all students would be a grave dereliction of your responsibilities as President of MIT and Chair of the MIT Corporation.
This Congress will not stand idly by and allow an environment hostile to Jewish students to persist. The House believes that your institution is in violation of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, and the inability or
unwillingness to rectify this violation through action requires accountability.
Postsecondary education is a unique opportunity for students to learn and have their ideas and beliefs challenged. However, universities receiving hundreds of millions of federal funds annually have denied
students that opportunity and have been hijacked to become venues for the promotion of terrorism, antisemitic harassment and intimidation, unlawful encampments, and in some cases, assaults and riots.
The House of Representatives will not countenance the use of federal funds to indoctrinate students into hateful, antisemitic, anti-American supporters of terrorism. Investigations into campus antisemitism by the Committee on Education and the Workforce and the Committee on Ways and Means have been expanded into a Congress-wide probe across all relevant jurisdictions to address this national crisis. The undersigned Committees will conduct oversight into the use of federal funds at MIT and its learning environment under authorities granted to each Committee.
• The Committee on Education and the Workforce has been investigating your institution since December 7, 2023. The Committee has broad jurisdiction over postsecondary education, including its compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, campus safety concerns over disruptions to the learning environment, and the awarding of federal student aid under the Higher Education Act.
• The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is investigating the sources of funding and other support flowing to groups espousing pro-Hamas propaganda and engaged in antisemitic harassment and intimidation of students. The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is the principal oversight committee of the US House of Representatives and has broad authority to investigate “any matter” at “any time” under House Rule X.
• The Committee on Ways and Means has been investigating several universities since November 15, 2023, when the Committee held a hearing entitled From Ivory Towers to Dark Corners: Investigating the Nexus Between Antisemitism, Tax-Exempt Universities, and Terror Financing. The Committee followed the hearing with letters to those institutions on January 10, 202
Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.

6. BRIEF RESUME OF THE INTENDED WORK: -
6.1 NEED FOR THE STUDY:
The stress and strain of modern life induces premature ageing. Akala Palitya is
an accompaniment of premature ageing and poses a clinical challenge to the medical
practitioners. The incidence of premature ageing along with Akala Palitya is on
increase, particularly in tropical and developing countries. According to W.H.O in
India, its incidence is high in the age group of 20-30 years.
There are a large number of home remedies as well as over the counter
product available in market such as dyes, lotions etc. are used in Akala Palitya.
However these products often carry adverse reactions such as increased hair fall,
increased graying of otherwise normal hair and sometimes allergic reactions. The
present clinical study is intended to fill this gap where an effective, safe and non
sensitizing way of treating Akala Palitya is to be made available.
Acharya Vagbhata while mentioning the treatment of Palitya told Nasya as the
first line of treatment. Pratimarsha Nasya by Anu Taila rejuvenates the tissues of
head. By removing ama it cleanses and opens the channels of head which improves
oxygenation. As Akala Palitya is a Shirogata Roga and is caused due to accumulation
of Ama, Pratimarsha Nasya by Anu Taila may be very effective in its treatment and
prevention of the same.
Hence a clinical trial “To evaluate efficacy of Pratimarsha Nasya in
Prevention of Akala Palitya” is undertaken.
6.2 REVIEW OF LITERATURE:
