A day in the life of.. Cardiff and Vale College (student presentation)
The college has 25,000 students across 10 sites, offering over 1,000 courses from GCSEs to university foundation degrees and apprenticeships. It serves a diverse population from many ethnic backgrounds and offers support for students with disabilities or learning difficulties. International students are supported through ESOL programs. Classes range from 10-20 students and follow a daily schedule from 9am to 5pm, with some evening classes. Extracurricular activities include enrichment programs in various arts and activities, educational trips both domestic and abroad, community participation, competitive sports teams, and enterprise activities.
Erasmus+ Inspiring Inclusion National Agency presentation
On 12 November, we held the Erasmus+ Inspiring Inclusion event at etc.venues - Victoria in London. The event was an opportunity to showcase some of the wonderful work taking place within the Erasmus+ community and discuss how we can make our work more inclusive going forward. This presentation was delivered by UKNA Director Jane Racz, UKNA Deputy Director Madeleine Rose and Gavin Askew.
Moocs in the news: The real story behind the Irish story
This paper describes a case study of how MOOCs have been reported through the Irish media. A brief description of previous research on the portrayal of MOOCs in the international media is outlined and the unique Irish story is then presented framed around a number of overarching research questions: Who is telling the MOOC story and why? What story is being told? How is the story being told? Whose story is not being told? Specifically the study investigates how the MOOC phenomenon has been portrayed in Irish newspapers. A brief description of the research design is given before reporting key findings, which include a number of interesting developments in the Irish context. In telling the Irish story the paper contributes to the wider debate over the long-term future of open and online learning in the higher education landscape. The key lesson arising from the research is that the MOOC movement is not on an independent trajectory, as it needs to be understood as part of social practice.

Heston West Big Local
The workshop focused on developing youth engagement strategies. They presented their strategy developed by young people, including case studies of their Big Local Youth Action Team. Their story showed growing the team from 48 to 75 dedicated volunteers over 4 years through diverse activities, events, and opportunities for youth involvement and leadership. They provided a step-by-step guide for engaging local youth through schools, activities/events, and retaining young volunteers through unique opportunities and support. Attendees then participated in an activity to plan an intergenerational community event to further engage youth.

Collaboration not conflict
Knowing and upholding organizational values is key to successful collaboration. Values should be clearly defined, openly discussed, and referenced regularly to guide decision making and resolve conflicts. Partnerships also benefit from setting standards, responsibilities, and codes of conduct to facilitate open communication and ensure all parties are heard. Preventing issues from arising is better than dealing with conflicts once they emerge. Building understanding and finding the best shared solutions requires ongoing hard work from all involved.

Healing is the body’s response to injury in an attempt to restore normal structure and functions.
Healing can occur in two ways: Regeneration and Repair
There are 4 phases of wound healing: hemostasis, inflammation, proliferation, and remodeling. This document also describes the mechanism of wound healing. Factors that affect healing include infection, uncontrolled diabetes, poor nutrition, age, anemia, the presence of foreign bodies, etc.

This Dissertation explores the particular circumstances of Mirzapur, a region located in the
core of India. Mirzapur, with its varied terrains and abundant biodiversity, offers an optimal
environment for investigating the changes in vegetation cover dynamics. Our study utilizes
advanced technologies such as GIS (Geographic Information Systems) and Remote sensing to
analyze the transformations that have taken place over the course of a decade.
The complex relationship between human activities and the environment has been the focus
of extensive research and worry. As the global community grapples with swift urbanization,
population expansion, and economic progress, the effects on natural ecosystems are becoming
more evident. A crucial element of this impact is the alteration of vegetation cover, which plays a
significant role in maintaining the ecological equilibrium of our planet.Land serves as the foundation for all human activities and provides the necessary materials for
these activities. As the most crucial natural resource, its utilization by humans results in different
'Land uses,' which are determined by both human activities and the physical characteristics of the
land.
The utilization of land is impacted by human needs and environmental factors. In countries
like India, rapid population growth and the emphasis on extensive resource exploitation can lead
to significant land degradation, adversely affecting the region's land cover.
Therefore, human intervention has significantly influenced land use patterns over many
centuries, evolving its structure over time and space. In the present era, these changes have
accelerated due to factors such as agriculture and urbanization. Information regarding land use and
cover is essential for various planning and management tasks related to the Earth's surface,
providing crucial environmental data for scientific, resource management, policy purposes, and
diverse human activities.
Accurate understanding of land use and cover is imperative for the development planning
of any area. Consequently, a wide range of professionals, including earth system scientists, land
and water managers, and urban planners, are interested in obtaining data on land use and cover
changes, conversion trends, and other related patterns. The spatial dimensions of land use and
cover support policymakers and scientists in making well-informed decisions, as alterations in
these patterns indicate shifts in economic and social conditions. Monitoring such changes with the
help of Advanced technologies like Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems is
