Are 20th Century Constraints Holding Back Open Innovation? (Yes!)Terri Griffith
Managers who want to be strategic about open innovation need to let go of practices that might have worked in the 20th century but are outmoded in the faster-paced, more collaborative, technology-reliant 21st century.

Are you avoiding the blank page of writing an article, with no idea what to write, and a hundred other things you end up doing instead?
Do you scroll social media for your organization, wishing you had something better to post today?
Creating content doesn’t have to be a headache, it can be fun and easy if we change our mindset and adapt the hacks outlined in this webinar.
This isn’t just the world of content, it’s the world of relationships, audience building, and stewardship online to drive future donations.
But content takes time, so it gets left behind! Sadly though, without YOU creating content, you’re leaving your donors to see nothing but posts about the WE Charity scandal and the latest Kardashian drama!
So if the answer to online presence is more content, the next question is how the heck do you do it?? Nonprofits are so busy. This event will show you HOW to create way more content and reduce the time you spend creating.
With more content you have the chance to connect, learn, improve, and do it all over again.
PS. This video is for everyone in your organization, not just the marketing manager. We can all get involved in content!

By 2020, approximately 40% of the U.S. workforce will be engaged in quick “gigs” and project-based work. Most college seniors in 2020 will enter the workforce managing a series of projects, rather than dedicating years of service to any particular organization. This session will focus on how early career discovery during the college planning process can better prepare students for this new career reality, including tools for developing expertise in project settings aligned to the student’s aptitudes and interests.
Getting $*it Done: Implementing Your Digital Strategy (MCN2015)Jane Alexander
Over the last few years, museums have developed strategic plans to leverage technology in support of goals such as community engagement, institutional alignment, scholarship, media production and artistic excellence. Multiple museums have created Digital Strategies (or other tools such as Road Maps or Guiding Principles) to guide these efforts. Museum technology departments have been reorganized and comprehensive back-end strategies and museum wide processes created to activate their world-class collections, connect art with people, and drive on-site and online attendance. HOWEVER, the big questions remain: How are museums implementing these strategies? What processes do they use to support and approve digital initiatives? How do they measure success? How do they keep strategies current and top-of-mind? How do they get support from management and donors? What works and more importantly what doesn’t?
This session will look at how The Cleveland Museum of Art, Minneapolis Institute of Arts, The National Gallery and Philadelphia Museum of Art are approaching digital strategy and implementation. Panelists will explore the scope and core elements of each museum’s digital strategy; staffing requirements and the interdepartmental steering team put in place to guide digital strategy; the backend systems put in place to support flexible access, both in theory and practice; and the effort required to pull everything together. As an added bonus, panelists will describe any missteps along the way and how hurdles were overcome effectively.Purpose and objectives - attendees will:Learn several different but overlapping approaches to digital strategy, with the pros and cons of each.Learn specific methods for thinking and acting strategically to deliver digital and technology initiatives.Learn practical approaches to developing a meaningful technology and digital media strategy.Learn communication skills and how to develop buy-in across the organization.Learn how to build strong and effective partnerships across an organization.Plus: plenty of opportunities for questions and answers.Format: Multi-presenter panel, with Q&A woven in throughout the session.Theme: Leadership

Observability Concepts EVERY Developer Should Know -- DeveloperWeek Europe.pdfPaige Cruz
Monitoring and observability aren’t traditionally found in software curriculums and many of us cobble this knowledge together from whatever vendor or ecosystem we were first introduced to and whatever is a part of your current company’s observability stack.
While the dev and ops silo continues to crumble….many organizations still relegate monitoring & observability as the purview of ops, infra and SRE teams. This is a mistake - achieving a highly observable system requires collaboration up and down the stack.
I, a former op, would like to extend an invitation to all application developers to join the observability party will share these foundational concepts to build on:

Effective Application Security in Software Delivery lifecycle using Deployment Firewall and DBOM
The modern software delivery process (or the CI/CD process) includes many tools, distributed teams, open-source code, and cloud platforms. Constant focus on speed to release software to market, along with the traditional slow and manual security checks has caused gaps in continuous security as an important piece in the software supply chain. Today organizations feel more susceptible to external and internal cyber threats due to the vast attack surface in their applications supply chain and the lack of end-to-end governance and risk management.
The software team must secure its software delivery process to avoid vulnerability and security breaches. This needs to be achieved with existing tool chains and without extensive rework of the delivery processes. This talk will present strategies and techniques for providing visibility into the true risk of the existing vulnerabilities, preventing the introduction of security issues in the software, resolving vulnerabilities in production environments quickly, and capturing the deployment bill of materials (DBOM).

Organisational learning, like IT and marketing, has been massively affected by recent changes in technology, the economy and the nature of work.
How should we respond?
In this free Learning Hour webinar, LPI chairman Donald H Taylor explores how to ensure that L&D continues to make a difference to both individuals and organisations, but explains that it won’t necessarily be painless or easy.
