1. When I selected Ruth for the role of Senior Manager for Customer Service, I was immediately impressed
with her professional demeanor and passion for improved performance between functions. Ruth was
charged with improving processes and communication between the Logistics and Customer Service
organizations. Exceeding my expectations, Ruth achieved this goal by combining Logistics and Order
Management into a single group. This group was then solely responsible for handling orders from
demand to delivery. Her group achieved a velocity improvement of 30% YOY. Ruth also led a Kaizen
event to map out current processes to identify gaps and redundancies. She was able to merge and
streamline transactions, which led to a reduction in 8 handoffs between the old and new processes.
