WORK EXPERIENCE
Instructor, English, PACE program (Connecticut Scholars program) Prepared 15 students from local area
high schools to take college level English courses in an intense 6 week English course to develop their
confidence in writing and reading skills.
Instructor, English. Three Rivers Community College, Norwich, CT (August 2009 to May 2014). Taught
Developmental Writing and English courses. Participated in a Writing Center tutoring experiment with
two developmental writing classes and reported to the Writing Center Coordinator. Created a study
group for two developmental writing classes. Served as English Department Representative on the
Educational Technology Committee and Developmental English Task Force. Served on Composition,
Speech/Communications Task Forces, ESOL Textbook Selection Committee. Mentored colleagues in
educational technology skills. Advised approximately 20 students. Used a Facebook page experiment as
an LMS platform for one developmental writing class while teaching the other more traditionally.
Instructor, English. Project TLC (Technology Learning Community). Three Rivers Community College,
July-August 2010. Taught Reading/Writing Connection to a small group of area high school graduates
enrolled in engineering technology programs at TRCC and conferred with Director of Project TLC.
