Domestic Violence
The purpose of this analysis is to provide a wide introduction to
the problem of injury in
the U.S., and help in the development of an innovative way of
thinking about commencing a plan
for injury prevention. Although injuries are a major problem in
the United States, they can as easily
be prevented. There are a lot of models that work in prevention
of both intentional and
unintentional injuries.
Creation of a warm and welcoming environment is an effective
strategy in preventing
incidences of violence at the community level. This strategy
aims at addressing problems at a
community level, concentrating on the development of
structured and supervised opportunities for
community members and addressing various kinds of violence
through multiple types of solutions.
An entire community should be treated like a patient instead of
individual-based treatment
strategies. Taking a social environment prevention strategy
means that there is focus on prevention
of violence. This illustrates that apart from attaching
importance in developing formal laws to
punish violence perpetrators, prevention of violence is a key
element. Therefore, approaches
should be aimed at averting the incidence of both violence and
injury cases in the first place.
Regulation is also an effective element in preventing
unintentional injuries. This involves
passing policies related to serving alcohol, policies for legal
driving age, worker safety policies
and concealed weaponry laws. These efforts result in a
reduction of incidents on injuries. The
most important concept is that there are numerous ways in
which a community and people, at an
individual level, can intervene to prevent injuries and violence
in communities. The social
environment is very important and issues of violence should be
displayed on mass media to
discourage such behaviors, while also sensitizing people on the
same.
Access to Health Care
Access to health care in the United States encompasses a system
of service providers that
make a complete system. In this light, the access to health care
has been a subject of discussion
since the early 1870s. Importantly, the access to health care has
grown over time from home health
care provision to the hospitals in large cities (Gulliford &
Morgan, 2013). Notably, the history of
the health care in the United States has been motivated by the
series of endless scientific
innovations over the years. In this way, the innovations have
seen the system grow from the
constraints of health care access to the decline of mortality rates
due to increased access to health
care. Clearly, in the early 1990s, the chronic diseases rose to be
the leading causes of deaths
(Gulliford & Morgan, 2013). In this light, the developed
systems that constituted of the new
procedures such as the x-rays and chemotherapy improved the
health care access to the society.
Some of the factors that improved the health care access
increments include the improved
expenditures on health care programs. The governments
increase the expenditures on health care
that caused a rise in the GDP to approximately 4% (Gulliford &
Morgan, 2013). Importantly, the
health care access and maintenance organization act formed and
enacted in 1973 has laid strategies
such as; improve and increased health system agencies,
clarification of the role of competition
among the health organization and inclusion of innovative
technology in health care (Gulliford &
Morgan, 2013). Importantly, the access to health care has been
improved due to the presence of
different agencies such as; independent providers, nurses, allied
healthcare professionals as well
as the Nonallopathic providers. Access to health care is a social
amenity that contributes to the
wellbeing of the community.
Running head: Childhood Obesity
1
Childhood Obesity
Childhood obesity falls under the maternal, infant and child
health. In this light, statistics show
that most of the children in developed countries suffer from
obesity among other lifestyle conditions.
In this aspect, an evaluation of the causes of obesity describes
that child obesity is caused by generic
factors. Importantly, genetically inherited conditions could
attribute to children obesity. Also, lack of
physical activity and unhealthy eating could also attribute to
obesity and overweight conditions.
Importantly, obesity act as a risk factor for high cholesterol
conditions, high blood pressure, heart
conditions and diseases, diabetes and bone problems at an early
age. The MIC act as important
guidelines and indicators for disease prevention and
management in the society. In this light, control
of diseases and conditions such as obesity. Importantly, the
family being the basic unit of growth for
infants and children, the nutritional therapy should be
conducted to prevent children obesity. In this
light, the condition of children obesity should be diagnosed
early to rule out the conditions and
possibility of health problems related to children obesity.
Additionally, the infant and children health streams down from
the mother’s health during and
immediately after pregnancy, the mothers’ levels of prenatal
care, the status of immunization, the
environment in which the infant finds after birth as well as the
medical services the infant receives.
Research has shown that the federal governments have laid
initiatives that are aimed at improving
children care. In this aspect, the elimination of the health
challenges would help reduce the conditions
for children obesity to zero cases. In this light, child obesity is
one of the health risk conditions that
children and adolescent face. Luckily, the implementation of the
health programs and nutritional
therapy is a clear way to solve the condition.

Why Behavior Change Is Often Difficult:
• Several factors influence a person’s desire to change a health
behavior—the person must
1. Know the behavior is associated with a health problem
2. Accept that the behavior increases personal risk for the health
problem
3. Recognize that risk-reduction intervention programs exist and
can be effective
4. Believe the benefits of the new behavior justify the change in
behavior
5. Feel that significant others will be accepting of such changes
Stages of Change:
• Prochaska et al. (1994) identified the following six stages
people go through in changing
health behaviors:

  • 1. Domestic Violence The purpose of this analysis is to provide a wide introduction to the problem of injury in the U.S., and help in the development of an innovative way of thinking about commencing a plan for injury prevention. Although injuries are a major problem in the United States, they can as easily be prevented. There are a lot of models that work in prevention of both intentional and unintentional injuries. Creation of a warm and welcoming environment is an effective strategy in preventing incidences of violence at the community level. This strategy aims at addressing problems at a community level, concentrating on the development of structured and supervised opportunities for community members and addressing various kinds of violence through multiple types of solutions. An entire community should be treated like a patient instead of individual-based treatment strategies. Taking a social environment prevention strategy
  • 2. means that there is focus on prevention of violence. This illustrates that apart from attaching importance in developing formal laws to punish violence perpetrators, prevention of violence is a key element. Therefore, approaches should be aimed at averting the incidence of both violence and injury cases in the first place. Regulation is also an effective element in preventing unintentional injuries. This involves passing policies related to serving alcohol, policies for legal driving age, worker safety policies and concealed weaponry laws. These efforts result in a reduction of incidents on injuries. The most important concept is that there are numerous ways in which a community and people, at an individual level, can intervene to prevent injuries and violence in communities. The social environment is very important and issues of violence should be displayed on mass media to discourage such behaviors, while also sensitizing people on the same. Access to Health Care
  • 3. Access to health care in the United States encompasses a system of service providers that make a complete system. In this light, the access to health care has been a subject of discussion since the early 1870s. Importantly, the access to health care has grown over time from home health care provision to the hospitals in large cities (Gulliford & Morgan, 2013). Notably, the history of the health care in the United States has been motivated by the series of endless scientific innovations over the years. In this way, the innovations have seen the system grow from the constraints of health care access to the decline of mortality rates due to increased access to health care. Clearly, in the early 1990s, the chronic diseases rose to be the leading causes of deaths (Gulliford & Morgan, 2013). In this light, the developed systems that constituted of the new procedures such as the x-rays and chemotherapy improved the health care access to the society. Some of the factors that improved the health care access increments include the improved expenditures on health care programs. The governments increase the expenditures on health care
  • 4. that caused a rise in the GDP to approximately 4% (Gulliford & Morgan, 2013). Importantly, the health care access and maintenance organization act formed and enacted in 1973 has laid strategies such as; improve and increased health system agencies, clarification of the role of competition among the health organization and inclusion of innovative technology in health care (Gulliford & Morgan, 2013). Importantly, the access to health care has been improved due to the presence of different agencies such as; independent providers, nurses, allied healthcare professionals as well as the Nonallopathic providers. Access to health care is a social amenity that contributes to the wellbeing of the community. • 5. that most of the children in developed countries suffer from obesity among other lifestyle conditions. In this aspect, an evaluation of the causes of obesity describes that child obesity is caused by generic factors. Importantly, genetically inherited conditions could attribute to children obesity. Also, lack of physical activity and unhealthy eating could also attribute to obesity and overweight conditions. Importantly, obesity act as a risk factor for high cholesterol conditions, high blood pressure, heart conditions and diseases, diabetes and bone problems at an early age. The MIC act as important guidelines and indicators for disease prevention and management in the society. In this light, control of diseases and conditions such as obesity. Importantly, the family being the basic unit of growth for infants and children, the nutritional therapy should be conducted to prevent children obesity. In this light, the condition of children obesity should be diagnosed early to rule out the conditions and possibility of health problems related to children obesity. Additionally, the infant and children health streams down from the mother’s health during and
  • 6. immediately after pregnancy, the mothers’ levels of prenatal care, the status of immunization, the environment in which the infant finds after birth as well as the medical services the infant receives. Research has shown that the federal governments have laid initiatives that are aimed at improving children care. In this aspect, the elimination of the health challenges would help reduce the conditions for children obesity to zero cases. In this light, child obesity is one of the health risk conditions that children and adolescent face. Luckily, the implementation of the health programs and nutritional therapy is a clear way to solve the condition. - Health Behavior Project (Start doing sports Re-fitness and going to the gym to lose weight in a healthy way and also build muscles) 1.
