The cP-DocRev STORY
codeMantra began an earnest initiative to build a simple and straight forward document review platform. The under-
lying goal was to create a user friendly review platform that was not only flexible, comprehensive yet affordable and
easily manageable.
After exhaustive research and analysis, we found that there was no particular software nor application that offered a
perfect blend of attributes expected from a dedicated “review platform”. We decided to build a platform that would
be a cost effective alternative, easy to use allowing users control over their data, being able to eliminate costs asso-
ciated with external workflow and project management. The solution would also come with built-in analytics, ability
to cull, review and produce documents at a very affordable and transparent price.
The platform was built by a team with a collective experience of over 60 years comprising of a variety of industry as-
sociated experts. From concept to design, development to testing and launch of the platform we consulted with and
deployed experts in the business, which included document management professionals, industry consultants, litiga-
tion support services providers, law firms and actual end users. The brainpower that was physically associated with
cP-DocRev development have held numerous positions within the industry ranging from in-house litigation support
managers, operations managers, sales and project managers, paralegals to ensure that the platform met the require-
ments to satisfy complete basic document review. The platform was put through a robust test phase post develop-
ment and still continues to be refined and updated to meet emerging industry standards.

Proprietary Analytics – cP-DocRev’s proprietary analytics bundled with concept search, near duplicate document
detection, email threading, conditional tagging rules, email clustering, and conditional tagging rules removes the cost
associated with integrating third party solutions. With analytics being offered in the same platform, time and costs
are saved, and efficiencies gained.
Near-duplicate identification detects similar documents quickly. Users can sort and organize to expedite review
and maximize efficiency; coupled with actual duplicate identification and bulk tagging, that saves immeasurable time
and maximizes work product. Users are able to review side-by-side version comparisons, including a “differences
only” option that removes common text enabling users to review documents faster and tag large groups of docu-
ments individually or across entire near-duplicate families.
Email threading enables identification of all emails pertaining to a conversation, as well as discussion threads,
and their attachments, to gain review efficiency. Offers a first pass on data and identifies volumes of non-responsive
emails. Defensibly reduce data volumes by only reviewing the last email in the thread.
Auto-document and E-mail clustering allows end user to review email strings with all similar documents grouped
together by subject. This enables review of the full email communication and produce documents in a defensible
manner.
Conditional Tagging Rules as an additional security measure, tag documents from relevance, the platform allows
administrators to place a level of security to tag documents as privilege and ensure they are not produced as respon-
sive.
Defensibility – Granular tracking shows actions taken on each and every document, saved and available for export
by custodian for a complete audit trail and enhanced defensibility. All actions are made within a single repository,
eliminating the risks associated with importing, exporting and copying data between various tools. End users have
full control – allowing complete access to process.
Security – SSAE 16/SAS 70 compliant, all data is accessed through a state-of-the-art technology infrastructure and
secure data center via secure ftp.
cP-DocRev enables granular level and role based security to ensure that individual users are only accessing tasks and
data based on their granted permissions. System administrators define user access based on the user’s role to be set
to limit access to a single document, a group of documents, data fields, redactions, highlights, annotations, TIFF-on-
the-fly, and printing.
Produce Data Easily – cP-DocRev has fully integrated production tools that offer flexibility during the production
process produce documents in Tiff (single and multi-page), PDF, Text, and Native file formats, bates number,
redactions.
Documents can be branded with fully customizable production numbers, redactions, and other production designa-
tions and produced in conformance to a variety of formats such as Concordance, Summation, LFP, Ringtail and XML.
You can customize delimiters, metadata headers, import and export tags and batch print prior to production. All

Administration and Management of the Review Workflow – Assignments can be made easily, and documents
can be quickly distributed for review, progress reporting helps in tracking exactly what reviewers have accomplished
and ability to predict completion dates. The assignment features are designed with the review administrator in mind
designed to help manage review as effectively as possible. The customizable, robust reporting helps monitor review-
er productivity and track review progress in real-time.
