Environment used to collaborate and share RSS feeds throughout Pfizer’s Research community. 2006-2007 ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR, KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT, PFIZER Domain Architect responsible for strategic technology decisions across Pfizer’s Research and Development Knowledge Management group.
  • 4. Page 4 Daggett, Thomas  Led the technical evaluation of Microsoft’s Knowledge Network social networking application for Pfizer. Enhancement to SharePoint exposed relationships between people as well as their expertise by answering the questions of “who knows whom” and “who knows what”.  Worked as technical liaison with Pfizer IT organizations and Microsoft.  Presented and trained users on the KN and its rollout across Pfizer’s BT organization.  Facilitated technical decisions across all aspects of the project and ensuring that organizations were actively involved and informed.  Served as Domain Architect for KM on Research Informatics Design Board (Ri DB).  Presented on SharePoint to global audiences including key stakeholders in Research and Development, helped to drive its successful early adoption at Pfizer. 1999-2006 Principal Engineer, Advanced Technologies Group (ATG), GENERAL DYNAMICS, ELECTRIC BOAT DIVISION System architect responsible for ATG’s technology insertions across Electric Boat.  Focused on identifying, testing and integrating new information exchange technology solutions (XML) and process improvements across Business domains as well as with Business Partners.  Technical lead for development and deployment of the IETM system for CVNX program, which provided an innovative Document Management approach to dynamic documents based on XML content fragments for content authoring and content reuse.  Technical lead for the Advanced Product Model Project, browser based XML database system to warehouse shipyard design information. Allows operators to create custom visualizations of physical components of the ship. Visualization provides seamless interface for obtaining additional component specific information via simple interactions with the 3D graphical representation model.  Co-lead for the Product Data Web Services Project, responsible for proposal, design, implementation and demonstration of a J2EE system that allows for locating and extracting of back-end data via SOAP messaging within Electric Boat’s Enterprise Oracle 9i environment. The approach taken was unique and was presented at the OMG (Object Management Group) Web Services conference.  Technical lead for Automated Electronic Documents Project, an XML based approach to automate the generation of enhanced electronic documents. XSLT environment dynamically generates HTML/SVG integrated reports from in-house nuclear radiation analysis application data. Developed reports provided intelligent linking of the visualized information to the source. 1999-1999 SYSTEM ARCHITECT, SAPIENT, CAMBRIDGE, MA Responsible for architecture support across consulting projects.  Help lead web application and system architecture proposal development for Mellon Bank based on the Java Platform, Enterprise Edition. 1998-1999 SYSTEM ARCHITECT, ARCHITECTURE GROUP, COMPUTER SCIENCES CORPORATION Responsible for architecture support across consulting projects, including information security and system/application architecture design.  Architect for Premier Inc. Security Project which conducted a security review of the external/internal data communications and underlying network infrastructure (servers, network, etc.) for a health industry corporation.  Selected, evaluated and deployed various security products (enCommerce's getAccess, Axent's Enterprise Security Manager and Intruder Alert, Enterprise Resource Manager) to harden the customer’s corporate environment.
