This document defines and describes multimedia. Multimedia is the integration of multiple forms of media, including audio, video, graphics, images, and text. The basic elements of multimedia are text, graphics, video, and audio. Text refers to characters used to create words, sentences, and paragraphs. Graphics are digital representations of non-text information like drawings or photos. Video shows photographic images in motion. Audio includes music, speech, or any other sound. Multimedia has many applications and uses such as for advertisements, art, education, entertainment, engineering, medicine, mathematics, and business.
