This short document discusses images of beautiful girls from the 2010s that were found on a website. It thanks viewers for watching and provides credit for the images and background music, which is a song by Michelle Branch and Santana called "The Game of Love". The document was created by Prakit on June 30, 2010.
The document discusses the "law of the seed", using the example of an apple tree producing many seeds but few new trees. It means that most "seeds" or attempts do not succeed, so one must be persistent by planting or attempting many seeds. Similarly, in life most attempts or opportunities will not succeed, so one must be willing to try many times to achieve success. The document also discusses having preferences rather than expectations, and maintaining a positive attitude even when things do not go as preferred, in order to be happier.
The document discusses the "Law of the Seed", using the example of an apple tree producing many seeds despite only needing a few to grow more trees. It explains that nature teaches us that not all seeds will grow, just as in life, most attempts or efforts will not succeed. Successful people understand this and are willing to try many times through more attempts or efforts to achieve their goals. The document advises having preferences rather than expectations, and accepting what is beyond your control rather than getting frustrated or disappointed by things not happening as you think they should. It stresses that changing your thinking is easier than changing the world, and your attitude is more important for your happiness than external problems or events.

The document discusses the "Law of the Seed", which teaches that not all seeds planted will grow. It uses the example of an apple tree producing many seeds but only a few new trees. The law suggests that to be successful, one must plant many seeds by trying multiple times. The document discusses the "Law of the Seed", using the example of an apple tree producing many seeds despite only needing a few to grow more trees. It notes that nature ensures most seeds do not grow, so if you want something to happen you need to try multiple times. This means interviewing many people to hire one person, talking to many to sell to one, etc. Successful people understand this law and are not discouraged by failure, instead planting more seeds through multiple attempts. The key is having preferences rather than expectations, and accepting what you cannot control so as not to be frustrated or disappointed. Changing your thinking is easier than changing the world.
The document discusses the "Law of the Seed", which teaches that not all seeds planted will grow. Nature produces many seeds to compensate for this, just as successful people will try many times to achieve their goals. The law explains that one must plant many seeds, or try many times, to see the results they want. It also advises developing preferences rather than expectations, so that when things don't go as planned one can remain at peace. Changing one's thinking is emphasized as an easier way to gain happiness than changing the world.

This Bible study discusses the importance of setting spiritual boundaries as a Christian. Some key points include:
- Boundaries serve to distinguish Christians from the world and help Christians emulate God rather than their natural fathers.
- Things that grieve God, like taking Him lightly, should also grieve Christians. This includes when others lie about God or when Christians' own thoughts and actions don't align with Him.
- Christians must be willing to take a stand for their faith, even if it brings rejection from others. Boundaries help communicate to the world that Christians are in the world but not of it.
Elder William Bradford taught that we should seek recognition from God rather than people for our service. We should serve out of love for God, not a desire for praise. Jesus warned against hypocrisy in religious acts done only for show. True disciples prioritize God's kingdom by obeying his commandments and treating others with compassion.
The document provides guidance on living a prayerful life through simplicity and honesty rather than theatrical displays. It discusses praying to God as a loving Father, focusing on revelation, justice, provision, forgiveness and God's will. The passage encourages connecting what God does to what we do through forgiving others. It says to pray inwardly and act normally outwardly without attention-seeking devices, trusting that God will reward sincere prayer.
1) The document discusses the importance of tolerance and avoiding intolerance, as defined by accepting and respecting different people and opinions.
2) It emphasizes that Christians should act with forgiveness and love, as God and Jesus did, rather than judging others or finding fault in them.
3) Three things that must be learned are to avoid judging others, look for the best in people rather than their faults, and not to waste one's breath arguing with those who will not accept the gospel, but instead show love through actions.
The sermon discusses the proper interpretation and application of the "Golden Rule" from the Bible. It argues that the Golden Rule from Jesus is different than similar sayings from other religions in that it calls for actively doing good to others rather than just avoiding harm. The sermon also says the Golden Rule should mainly guide how Christians treat each other, not serve as a basis for theology. When applied between believers and in daily life, it can transform relationships and end conflicts.
The document discusses several topics related to faith and ministry, including:
1) Using spiritual gifts to encourage others, give generously, lead diligently, and show mercy.
2) Comparing a job to a ministry, where a job is done out of obligation but a ministry is done to serve God wholeheartedly.
3) Reflecting on serving as a "pencil in God's hand" to spread love in the world through faithfulness and overcoming mistakes.
The document discusses the "Law of the Seed" - that not all seeds planted will grow, just like not all efforts and attempts in life will succeed. It takes many tries to achieve something, whether that's getting a job through many interviews, finding a good employee through many interviews, or selling something through many conversations. When we understand this law of nature and that failure is part of the process, we don't get as disappointed by setbacks. Successful people understand this and are willing to plant more seeds through more attempts and efforts. It's important to have preferences for how we want things to go but also accept when things don't go our way instead of getting angry or frustrated by events we can't control.
Social Media & Technology in Ministry: A Latino/a ApproachSamuel Robles Jr.
This is a workshop I put together for Hispanic/Latino(a) pastors and leaders. Most of the information that exists about social media is euro-centric, and not much exists about its value in ministry. This is an approach to social media in the Hispanic context, and serves as a "conversation-starter" for its potential in ministry.

Defining Bilingual And Multicultural at Arise Christian ChurchSamuel Robles Jr.
At Arise Christian Church, we define "bilingual" and "multicultural" unconventionally. This is how we define it, and effectively do ministry in our context.
Arise Christian Church is hosting a Hispanic Heritage Month Art Exhibit in September and October 2009. The exhibit aims to showcase local Christian artists' work relating to Hispanic/Latino faith and culture. Artists may display and sell their original artwork at the free public event on Sundays from 10am-1pm. All artwork must be appropriate for a sacred environment and adhere to the exhibit's theme. The deadline to register for the exhibit is September 16.
This document summarizes a sermon given at Arise Christian Church about the biblical parable of two houses, one built on a rock foundation and one without a foundation. The sermon discusses how both houses experience adversity but the one built on the rock survives because it is well built and able to withstand challenges, just as obeying Jesus' words enables believers to endure trials in life. Worshippers are challenged to not just be interested listeners but obedient disciples who act on what they hear from Jesus.
This is a Resource Group I led/facilitated at the 2009 General Assembly of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Indianapolis, Indiana entitled, "The future is 'at the hyphen.'"
The Resource Group revolved around the Hispanic/Latino(a) experience in the United States, and how the Church is and/or is not responding to it.
This was a great time of sharing, learning, and healing.
Here is a description of the Resource Group:
In English & en Español
Coined by Justo Gonzalez, “at the hyphen” helps express the current state and future of Hispanic/Latino(a) people in the United States. Many Hispanic/Latino(a) children, youth, and adults born in the United States are struggling with their identity and language. Engage in a dialogue about this difficult, yet important topic.

Muchos niños hispanos, jóvenes y adultos nacidos en los Estados Unidos están luchando con su identidad y lenguaje. Mantener un diálogo sobre este asunto difícil es un tópico importante.)
This past Sunday was the final part of our series, "Transformed: from the inside out."
There was great feedback @ Arise as a result of this series teaching.
This presentation (part 3) begins where part 2 left off.
This was a study I did for Pentecost Sunday 2009 at Arise Christian Church, a new church start in Central Florida.
This presentation opened up the opportunity for people to ask questions and share thoughts and experiences. It was wonderful!
What is not included is a short video that was shared about translating the Bible in one's own language from Wycliffe Bible Translators.
As I have recently been talking with folks and meeting new people, I have heard a common thread of concern in their stories: transitions. This is a teaching I did at Arise Christian Church on Transitions, using Moses as an example.

It seems that current missionary work requires spending a lot of money, preparing a lot of materials, and traveling to far away places, so that it feels like missionary work. But what was the result they brought back? It's just a lot of photos of activities, fun eating, drinking and some playing games. And then we have to do the same thing next year, never ending. The church once mentioned that a certain missionary would go to the field where she used to work before the end of his life. It seemed that if she had not gone, no one would be willing to go. The reason why these missionary work is so difficult is that no one obeys God’s words, and the Bible is not the main content during missionary work, because in the eyes of those who do not obey God’s words, the Bible is just words and cannot be connected with life, so Reading out God's words is boring because it doesn't have any life experience, so it cannot be connected with human life. I will give a few examples in the hope that this situation can be changed. A375
