creation and communication of meaning in Philippine Festivals and Theatrical Forms as
influenced by history and culture
 2. theater and performance as a synthesis of arts and a significant expression of the
celebration of life in various Philippine communities
B. Performance standard  Create appropriate festival attire with accessories based on authentic festival costumes.
 Create/improvise appropriate sound, music, gesture, movements, and costume for a chosen
theatrical composition.
 Take part in a chosen festival or in a performance in a theatrical play.

Reviewing Previous Lesson or Presenting New Lessons The teacher will enter the room holding or wearing any item/s related to a particular festival. Example: Maskara, Sto. Nino The teacher will ask the students to identify/name the following festivals and theatrical form using flash cards. Ask one volunteer to discuss briefly the evolution of festivals and theatrical form in the country. The teacher will post different pictures of festivals and theatrical forms on the board and ask the students to name its origin.
