This document summarizes research on the interactions between ragged-tooth sharks and scuba divers at Cathedral dive site in Aliwal Shoal Marine Protected Area in South Africa. The research aims to examine if divers adhere to protocols to minimize impacts on sharks, understand diver behaviors, and analyze historical sighting data. Preliminary findings show divers generally follow protocols but sometimes push sharks further into caves. Questionnaires assess diver protocols and connection to nature. Understanding diver impacts can help protect this important shark habitat and breeding site.
