Disparate open data across different counties and organizations leads to data silos and inconsistent formats that are difficult to work with at scale. As more data becomes available, there will be opportunities for geospatial analysts ("geo boffins") to automate and augment work by connecting and making sense of vast amounts of geospatial data from a variety of sources over time. The future holds great potential for geo boffins to utilize new sources of open data.
