Your second assignment, Evaluation of Technical Quality, is
due at the end of Unit 5. This assignment includes searching
peer-reviewed journal articles for research on your selected
test's psychometrics, which includes evidence of validity.
For this discussion, describe one journal article's findings on
validity. In your post, synthesize the data and information and
interpret it yourself based on the information you are learning
about evidence for validity in this course.
· The specific category of validity.
· The author's overall interpretation of the results.
You are not required to report the statistic, if any, reported in
the journal article.
Be sure to include any difficulties you may be experiencing
with searching for information in the peer-reviewed journal

techniques of enhancing your learning using your social

· Doing team learning/investigating projects
· Setting up interview questions and interviewing your family,

by yourself and think things over. You will often take in

on projects on your own. You often prefer to learn by trial and
error. Effective techniques to enhance your learning include
keeping a journal and giving yourself time to reflect on new
ideas and information. More ideas:
· Go on "guided imagery" tours.
· Set aside time to reflect on new ideas and information.
· Encourage journal writing.
· Work on the computer.
· Practice breathing for relaxation.
· Use brainstorming methods before reading.
· Listen to and read "how to" tapes and books.
· Read cookbooks.

Body Movement: You like to move, dance, wiggle, walk, and
swim. You are likely good at sports, and you have good fine
motor skills. You may enjoy taking things apart and putting
them back together. Incorporating body movement into your
learning will help you process and retain information better.
Here are some ideas.
· Trace letters and words on each other's back.
· Use magnetic letters, letter blocks, or letters on index cards to
spell words.
· Take a walk while discussing a story or gathering ideas for a
story.
· Make pipe cleaner letters. Form letters out of bread dough.
After you shape your letters, bake them and eat them!
· Use your whole arm (extend without bending your elbow) to
write letters and words in the air.
· Change the place where you write and use different kinds of
tools to write, ie., typewriter, computer, blackboard, or large
pieces of paper.
· Write on a mirror with lipstick or soap.
· Take a walk and read all the words you find during the walk.
· Handle a Koosh ball or a worry stone during a study session.
· Take a break and do a cross-lateral walk.

Journal week 4
I have taken many intelligence preferences tests over the years.
They are typically
accurate. This particular quiz was spot on (Multiple
Intelligence, n. d.). My number one
intelligence is social/interpersonal. I think the description isn’t
me completely because I am not
one that likes to talk. I do like to be in conversation, but I like
the other person/people to do a lot
of the talking. I am intuitive and I like to build and discuss
ideas with others. My second
intelligence is self/intrapersonal. I do spend time by myself
contemplating life and its
complicated issues and beauty. I have not always been like this.
It has taken me many years to be
comfortable being alone with all my thoughts. My third
intelligence is music. I have no talent
musically as far as playing an instrument or being able to sing
but music saves my life every day.
I gain so much comfort and motivation from music. I think and
move in rhythm. I like to commit
things to memory through using song.
My ideal learning environment would be rich in music and
rhymes. I would also have
many people to collaborate with. I would have a lot of group
work and interactions to help me
learn. I would also write rhymes and songs to help me remember
things. I like the idea of doing a
play or some type of performance to help me learn. I think using
meditation is so helpful in the
classroom so I would love to incorporate that into my own
learning environment. It helps you
become centered and get back to your basic necessity of
breathing.
For me to learn ideally I need a place that is warm, welcoming
and bright. I need desks
and seats that are arranged as a circle or in a group. I need to
have a low pressure situation. My
instructor needs to be informative, without being a know-it-all.
I like teachers that are
approachable and admit when they are wrong or someone could
also be correct with an opinion
that differs from the teacher. I think many of my personal
learning preferences and intelligences
can be used for students in my class.

Non-Performance - The journal is either nonexistent or lacks the components described in the assignment instructions. Journal week 4 I have taken many intelligence preferences tests over the years. They are typically accurate. This particular quiz was spot on (Multiple Intelligence, n. d.). My number one intelligence is social/interpersonal. I think the description isn’t me completely because I am not
  • 7. one that likes to talk. I do like to be in conversation, but I like the other person/people to do a lot of the talking. I am intuitive and I like to build and discuss ideas with others. My second intelligence is self/intrapersonal. I do spend time by myself contemplating life and its complicated issues and beauty. I have not always been like this. It has taken me many years to be comfortable being alone with all my thoughts. My third intelligence is music. I have no talent musically as far as playing an instrument or being able to sing but music saves my life every day. I gain so much comfort and motivation from music. I think and move in rhythm. I like to commit things to memory through using song. My ideal learning environment would be rich in music and rhymes. I would also have many people to collaborate with. I would have a lot of group work and interactions to help me learn. I would also write rhymes and songs to help me remember things. I like the idea of doing a play or some type of performance to help me learn. I think using meditation is so helpful in the classroom so I would love to incorporate that into my own
  • 8. learning environment. It helps you become centered and get back to your basic necessity of breathing. For me to learn ideally I need a place that is warm, welcoming and bright. I need desks and seats that are arranged as a circle or in a group. I need to have a low pressure situation. My instructor needs to be informative, without being a know-it-all. I like teachers that are approachable and admit when they are wrong or someone could also be correct with an opinion that differs from the teacher.
