Archaeopteryx for a
        pet
      by Terry and Nathan
Introduction

Archaeopteryx is a colourful flying dinosaur.
The latin word Archaeopteryx means ancient
feather. This report will explain why the
Archaeopteryx would make a good pet.
Appearance

Archaeopteryx is the size of a crow. It has
tropical colours, a heavy body and it has
hundreds of teeth.
Behaviour

Archaeopteryx does a lot of things. It flies
around and runs on two back feet. It could
protects itself by flying and it could use it’s
claws to climb trees. Archaeopteryx would also
make a good pet because when robbers come,
Archaeopteryx could shout like an alarm and
call you to come to catch the robber.
Diet
Archaeopteryx eats bugs. It doesn’t eat meat so
it would be a good pet because it would help
kill the insects in and around the house. It flies
and catches bugs in the air. It also searches for
bugs on the ground so it’s useful to clean up
bugs on the ground too. This means it’s easy to
feed because it will eat bugs that it finds
around the house. Archaeopteryxes enemies
are big meat-eaters like Compsognathus.
diet continued.....

Heaps of meat eaters hunt it. It will be safe if
you put it in your house at night time and put
it in your backyard in a cage during the day
time.
Habitat

Archaeopteryx lived in forests, trees and
jungles. It lived on land and it came from
Europe. It could be put in your back-yard but
you would have to have it in a cage or it might
fly away.
Conclusion

Archaeopteryx would make a good pet
because it doesn’t eat meat and so it wouldn’t
hurt humans. Also, it feeds itself so you don’t
have to feed it and it can protect itself from
enemies.
