Digital storytelling can enhance learning in several ways according to the document: - It allows students to learn in new ways using different mediums that are more engaging for today's digital native students. Students learn new skills in technology and enhance existing skills. - Students can learn from each other as they often know more about technology than teachers. It creates a collaborative learning environment. - The creative process allows students to explore their own voice and interests while learning. Students can learn about themselves through telling their own stories in a digital format. - Working on digital storytelling projects as individuals or in groups teaches students important skills like cooperation, respecting others' views and managing group work.

•As a creative person, I like to
explore new ways that I can
help my students learn. This is
one of the ways that teachers
can incorporate art into
learning.

days, teachers can learn from and
become the students as well. It

• Students can also learn by making
mistakes. That is how people do their best
learning, by trial and error. When I edit a
student’s work most of the time, they fix
it. Sometimes they come back with the
same errors, but then they will learn when
they are graded on those errors time and
again.

• I always tell my students that if they don’t
want the principal looking at it, then they
shouldn’t show it to me. I want them to
have pride in their work and show what is
inside of them and they should want to
show it off to everyone and actually be
able to show it off to everyone.

about themselves when they’re
doing a project like this because
they are able to tell their stories.
It’s no topic a teenager or pre-
teen loves more than talking
about themselves.

respect other’s wishes and views
because if they don’t, they are
not going to have a good grade or
