DIALOGUE PROGRAM
A PURPOSEFUL INQUIRY INTO THE ASSUMPTIONS, VALUES, AND PROCESSES THAT
BRING UNDERSTANDING TO COMMON EXPERIENCE AND FORM COLLECTIVE ACTIONS
14TH TO 16TH MAY 2014
WITH LAWRENCE PHILBROOK
INTRODUCTION AND PUBLIC
“When we are trying to deal with a personal problem, question, or decision we know it is
ours alone to resolve and that we have the inner resources to resolve it, but those resources
are often hidden from us by layers of inner "stuff". We know that other people might help us
discover our resources and find our way, but by exposing our problem we risk being invaded
by their judgments, assumptions and advice. As a result, we may keep these vital questions
to ourselves, which cuts us off from our own inner resources and from the resources of
community” By Parker J. Palmer
This course helps you understand what’s involved in a deep dialogue, what’s the mechanism
behind the act of listening and speaking that we do all the time and more importantly, as a
facilitator, how to bring out all inner resources from present persons so that they can deal
themselves with their problems and projects.
Who Should Take This Course:
Professional facilitators, trainers, educators, organizational and social change agents, team
leaders, and human resources professionals and consultants.
