DHDC is a nonprofit organization committed to overcoming barriers to employment, education, and healthy lifestyles for underserved communities in Southwest Detroit through culturally appropriate programming. It offers youth services, family services, employment and training, and counseling services including substance abuse treatment and HIV/AIDS prevention programs. The SALUD program targets at-risk Latino youth and other high-risk groups in Southwest Detroit with education sessions, counseling, testing, and outreach to prevent the spread of HIV in the community.
