United Kingdom, and Germany. The resulting value to the client is the recognized improvement in
task management and regulatory compliance with the EPA, OSHA, and local regulatory requirements.
Phase 3 includes the implementation of an Incident Management module to support the management
of incident investigation through root cause analysis, and tracking corrective actions through
completion. Phase 3 also includes the automation of OSHA reporting, trending incident rates, and

on improving H&S performance, controlling risk of hazards, and compliance status with applicable

Management System Development and ISO 14001 Registration
International Automotive Manufacturing Company
The scope of the initial phase of the project was to support the site and corporate environmental
departments in the development of an environmental management system in compliance with the ISO
14001 standard for a new large truck manufacturing facility in Saltillo, Coahuila, Mexico.
Mr. Falardeau, as an RABQSA-certified Lead Auditor, added business value through knowledge of:
ISO Registration process; country-specific environmental regulations for the development of the legal
registry; and, client-specific policies and procedures.
Mr. Falardeau assessed the manufacturing company’s processes related to environmental concerns,
identified and supported the selection of significant aspects and impacts and their objectives and
targets, and developed the registry of applicable Mexican and State of Coahuila regulations during
four visits to the site.
Mr. Falardeau will return to the facility to perform the ISO 14001 Phase One Audit and will support the
site during the Registration process in subsequent phases of the project.

in Spanish and then prepared the Audit Protocol in English to assess compliance with environmental
regulations related to: water management, including aqueducts and water use rights, potable water;
deforestation; construction of wastewater and sewage treatment plants and associated piping
systems; and, urban planning.

The project scope was to perform environmental compliance audits of eight hazardous waste
treatment, storage, and disposal facilities located throughout the eastern United States and Canada.

International Environmental Compliance Audit

The project scope was to perform a comprehensive environmental audit of an automotive
manufacturing facility located in Valencia, Venezuela.
Mr. Falardeau audited compliance to national, state, and local regulations and corporate requirements
pertaining to the site’s hazardous and non-hazardous waste storage, handling, and final disposition,
the onsite industrial wastewater treatment system, and air emissions. Mr. Falardeau prepared and
delivered a tabular-formatted report of audit findings, environmental concerns, and recommendations
for improvement.

The project scope is to provide a global audit program solution to an international manufacturer. Mr.
Falardeau is the Assistant Project Manager for the client’s global audit program, which includes
annual comprehensive environmental, health, and safety compliance audits at manufacturing sites
throughout North and South America, Europe, Eastern Mediterranean, and Asia. Mr. Falardeau also
serves as Lead Auditor for the program’s audits at sites located throughout the United States and

As Assistant Project Manager, Mr. Falardeau manages the project scope, budget, invoicing; is the

Phase I Environmental Site Assessment and Limited Subsurface Investigation
International Mining and Exploration Company
The first phase of the project scope was to coordinate the assessment and desktop research of
environmental liabilities associated with two properties; one located in the city of Guaymas, and the
other in the neighboring town of Empalme, state of Sonora, Mexico. Thereafter, Mr. Falardeau
collaborated with hydrologists and geologists in developing the scope of the limited subsurface soil
investigation at the Guaymas site and supervised the soil investigation performed by our Mexican
colleagues, which included the collection and analysis of approximately 20 soil samples from an
abandoned steel processing facility. Mr. Falardeau also technically reviewed the Phase I ESA report
and identified the recognized environmental concerns in compliance to ASTM Standard E 1527-05, as
well as authored the of the soil investigation summary report and proposed recommendation for
additional, more intrusive investigation of the site.
The second phase of the project is currently being coordinated. Mr. Falardeau will return to the
Guaymas site to supervise the performance of the more intrusive investigation of soil and
groundwater conditions to more precisely characterize environmental conditions at the site.
Environmental Impact Study
International Power Generation and Supply Company
The project scope was to complete and submit the Environmental Impact Statement (Manifestación
de Impacto Ambiental, Modalidad Regional) for submittal to the regulatory agency (Secretaria de
Medio Ambiente y Recursos Naturales) for a power generation site in Mexico and associated
transmission lines to the United States. The site consisted of approximately 5,000 hectares located in
four specific environmental management units.
