The document describes a CCXML application that implements a follow me/find me feature with Twitter integration. When a call comes in, it attempts to call a subscriber's phone. If the call connects, it tweets that the subscriber is on a call. If the call fails, it tweets that the subscriber did not answer. When the call disconnects, it tweets that the subscriber is off the call. The application uses CCXML to control call flows and the Twitter API to post status updates.

Lessons in Botnets: The After-effects of ISP Takedowns

Session ID: HT1-202
Session Classification: Advanced
The takedown of four major ISPs over the past year has offered deep insight into spamming behavior and the life expectancy of some of the most powerful botnets ever known. With the demise of Intercage, McColo, Pricewert and Real Host, spam levels dropped to some of the lowest levels ever seen, but then quickly rose again in varying capacities. What have we learned about botnets from these landmark events and how can we use this intelligence to better track and defeat them?
Learning from the mistakes of the past and knowing where we stand at present will help us build the Internet video communication systems of the future. I present my point of view on the evolution, challenges and mistakes of the past, and, moving forward, describe the challenges in bridging the gap between web and VoIP. I highlight my contributions at various stages in the journey of Internet audio/video communication protocols.

Agile (enterprise) architecture has been a paradox since time immemorial. Now, with the arrival of Ballerina, that is no longer the case. Ballerina is the next big thing in enterprise integration. In this session we introduce this new, cloud-native, programming language. We explain how this seamlessly fits into a microservice architecture with APIs, does not step on the toes of existing services, and why every architect should know this language.

WebRTC - On Standards, Identity and Telco StrategyJose de Castro
WebRTC is dramatically changing the face of communications by making real-time voice and video just another feature available on websites and mobile applications.
This presents a tremendous opportunity for telcos... not by monetizing WebRTC directly but by *using* WebRTC to deliver new compelling products to their subscribers and enterprise customers.
This presentation offers a brief overview of WebRTC, the various identity models and some suggestions on go-to-market strategy.

IPv6 and How It Impacts Communication ApplicationsVoxeo Corp
What is all the IPv6 buzz about? And how will it impact your communications applications? In February 2011, the last IPv4 addresses were allocated to the global registries. While IPv4 addresses will be available for some time, the reality is that IPv6 addresses will be required in the future. Service providers, enterprises and integrators need to understand how IPv6 works and what impacts it may or may not have on applications. In this session, Dan York provides an overview of IPv6, how it impacts the SIP protocol and potential future action. Along the way he provides links for more information. This was part of a webinar found at http://blogs.voxeo.com/jamsessions/

Connector Corner: Automate dynamic content and events by pushing a buttonDianaGray10
Here is something new! In our next Connector Corner webinar, we will demonstrate how you can use a single workflow to:
Create a campaign using Mailchimp with merge tags/fields
Send an interactive Slack channel message (using buttons)
Have the message received by managers and peers along with a test email for review
But there’s more:
In a second workflow supporting the same use case, you’ll see:
Your campaign sent to target colleagues for approval
If the “Approve” button is clicked, a Jira/Zendesk ticket is created for the marketing design team
But—if the “Reject” button is pushed, colleagues will be alerted via Slack message
Join us to learn more about this new, human-in-the-loop capability, brought to you by Integration Service connectors.

We discuss the history of PHP and its frameworks to understand how this dependence has evolved. The focus will be on providing concrete tips and strategies to reduce reliance on these frameworks, based on real-world examples and practical considerations. The goal is to equip developers with the skills and knowledge to create more flexible and future-proof web applications. We'll explore the importance of maintaining autonomy in a rapidly changing tech landscape and how to make informed decisions in PHP development.
This talk is aimed at encouraging a more independent approach to using PHP frameworks, moving towards a more flexible and future-proof approach to PHP development.
"Impact of front-end architecture on development cost", Viktor TurskyiFwdays
I have heard many times that architecture is not important for the front-end. Also, many times I have seen how developers implement features on the front-end just following the standard rules for a framework and think that this is enough to successfully launch the project, and then the project fails. How to prevent this and what approach to choose? I have launched dozens of complex projects and during the talk we will analyze which approaches have worked for me and which have not.

Neuro-symbolic is not enough, we need neuro-*semantic*Frank van Harmelen
Neuro-symbolic (NeSy) AI is on the rise. However, simply machine learning on just any symbolic structure is not sufficient to really harvest the gains of NeSy. These will only be gained when the symbolic structures have an actual semantics. I give an operational definition of semantics as “predictable inference”.
All of this illustrated with link prediction over knowledge graphs, but the argument is general.
