This document discusses research on student and parent satisfaction in traditional public schools. It presents several hypotheses: that girls, African American students, and Latino students would have higher school satisfaction than boys and Caucasian students, and that general education students and their parents would have higher satisfaction than special education students and parents. Previous studies found that safety is a major predictor of parent satisfaction, and that parents of children with autism spectrum disorder were less satisfied with diagnostic services and programs than parents of children with other disabilities.
