• What’s the UX like, and how will it be distributed from a
technical standpoint?
• What will be expert curated vs. personalized?
• How can you incorporate ties to the physical urban space, and
possibly even nature?
• What options does the user have when responding to
information they weren’t expecting? Bookmark, share,
photograph? Do they have to create a profile?

create digital experiences that track to it intuitively

15. Why Serendipity Matters
Only serendipity can change the world. When you open up the
environment and allow connections to be made that you couldn’t
imagine before, that’s where great innovations come from that can
make a positive difference in the world.
Coined in 1754 for a story about 3 princes “who were always making discoveries, by accidents and sagacity, of things they were not in quest of.”\n\nTied to concept of play, adaptability, and scientific discovery throughout history. \nArchimedes’ eureka moment, discovering a way to measure volume in the bathtub, Newton’s discovery of gravity, apple fell on his head.\n\nSense of serendipity lost on the web. AR holds an opportunity to bring it back into our lives.\n\nSo today as we talk about AR as a navigation and discovery tool, I want to be conscious of where there’s room for serendipity to emerge.\n\n

my dream has always been to have a travel system that deals with your itinerary, your communication and social needs, logistics, persistent and shareable bookmarks, interactive experience journals. this is now becoming possible as we shape this new interface and this new medium, and that’s really exciting.\n

GPS + Vision-based = best scenario\n
language barriers - gone\ntime and distance sensitive filters\nbrand narratives are really interesting here too - personalized timely offers nearby to where you are. again the focus is on how to tell that story without it being an intrusion.\n

Media Creation\nSnapping photos and videos on trips, leaving them at those places (as in a social bookmark), making them instantaneously shareable\n\n
It’s about being able to accomplish whatever you want to do socially in an almost kinesthetic way – snapping a photo with your fingers or by blinking, sharing it using a voice command, being able to manipulate data with your hands and engaging more of the body and the senses, not being stuck inside a little mobile device\n\n
With all these interfaces everywhere, it’s important to be able to turn it off - natural zones\n
