This paper discusses the design and development of 'The Carrot,' an interactive application aimed at facilitating access to and engagement with audiovisual cultural heritage in educational settings. The tool enhances digital media literacy by enabling students to collaboratively tag and discuss video content, ultimately leading to the creation of multimedia essays and deeper understanding of cultural heritage materials. It emphasizes the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration in developing educational tools that address contemporary didactics and promotes a hands-on approach to learning.
