In designing this area for universal users, We combined the living
room, dining room and kitchen to become one area without any
wall partition since We know that it will help deaf persons to
communicate using sign language and it will make the room feel
bigger.
Kitchen table designed to be integrated with dining table, as it will
be easier for the user to move the food from kitchen top table to the
dining table. All the upper kitchen cabinet are using a pull-out
shelving system, so it will ease the wheelchair’s user to take out the
stuff. In addition, the height of the kitchen top table and sink
designed according to the human body dimension of the
wheelchair’s user. Other than that, there are some features on the
dining table, that is storage for eating utensils such as spoons,
forks, and knives at the top of the table and some space for
wheelchair at below of the table.
Coffee table has a semicircular shape that makes it adaptive
towards the sofa in the livingroom. The border that is on the top
surface to optimize its safety and lower the possibility of falling-
stuffs. This table also has 4 wheels with a stopper on each of it so the
table can stay and move freely.

10. Bathroom and Bedroom
We designed bathroom that could be used by disable
person without helper, since we realize if they can have
access to be independent, they will feel good about
their existence. Bathroom can be accessed through
living room or bedroom. The entrance through
bedroom will make it easier for the wheelchair ser to
directly sit on the toilet. That toilet also connected to the
shower so the disable user can move without any
helper. In addition, the ooring system in bathroom has
unique feature which allow the water to ow directly
through the small gap between concrete wood panels,
so the oor height at bathroom and bedroom can be
same. In designing bedroom, We create ambience that
facilitate the user to have good quality of sleep.
Window beside the headbed will help user to wake up
as the sun goes up, and there are two side-tables that
could be place for small plant and diffuser. Other than
that, the dimension of wardrobe is considered with the
need of the wheelchair user. It has pull-out shelving
system, so the user’s hand do not have to reach
through the deepest part of the wardrobe.

titled Sangkuriang that told about a man, Sangkuriang who falls in
love and wants to marry her birth mother. His birth mother, Dayang
Sumbi, does not want to marry his own son, so she made a request
to build a boat, and it must be done before the dawn. As

between living area, dining area and kitchen, so the parent able to
keep an eye on their children’s activities. Considering the building
itself that has warm-white nuanced material, I suggested using
materials that can be combined with warm-white ambiance such us
