10. MARRUECOS
Morocco achived independence from France in 1956, following
years of resistance and struggle. The descolonization process
was led by Sultan Mohammed V, who was exiled to Madagascar
in 1953 due to his outspoken criticism of French colonialism.
The Moroccan people protested and demanded his return, and
French authorities finally acquiesced in 1955.
Polisiario front:
It is a single political party of Sahrawi nationalist ideology,
whose main objective is the government of Western Sahara in
the form of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic.

• After a war that lasted 8 years and caused more than a million deaths,
in March 1962 the Evian Accords were signed, calling for a referendum
on self-determination. On July 5, 1962, Algeria finally became
independent from France.
