Pacific Hairgrass is a perennial bunchgrass native to temperate regions worldwide, including California's northern coast and mountain meadows. It forms dense, low tussocks with fine, attractive leaves and cloud-like flowering stalks that bloom from July to August. Pacific Hairgrass is a low maintenance ornamental grass suitable for moist gardens, as a groundcover, or in meadow-like lawns. It provides habitat and food for birds and small animals.
