Digital literacy is the ability to effectively navigate, evaluate, and create information using digital technologies. It involves three main practices: techno-social practice of engaging in safe social networking; academic practice of researching and analyzing online information; and media literacy of creating and sharing knowledge. Digital literacy also refers to one's ability to locate, evaluate, use, and create information in multiple formats from various sources using computers, as well as performing tasks effectively in a digital environment.
