This document summarizes a research paper on the international trade relationship between China and Ethiopia. It provides background on the political and economic ties between the two countries. It then examines the trade activities and volume between China and Ethiopia, noting that while trade has grown significantly, Ethiopia faces a large trade deficit. The document outlines several problems hindering further trade growth, such as political instability, foreign currency shortages, corruption, and infrastructure issues. It concludes by proposing countermeasures like improving policies, security, anti-corruption frameworks, government services, infrastructure, and promotion of domestic and foreign trade.
The sourcing for apparel retailers have never been so diverse. A lot of changes have been taking place in the global garment industry. Production is moving away from China. Vietnam and Bangladesh are being developed strongly but still the wage bomb is ticking anyway at these locations too. Ethiopia is one such nation which is absorbing this shift confidently and becoming active garment manufacturing destination.

Neither isolationism nor unilateralism is a credible response to globalization. In order to strengthen the world’s economic, political, and social stability, the World Bank and the European Union must work together to promote common values such as democracy, freedom, respect for human rights and the rule of law. I think that cooperation regarding China between the World Bank (WB) and the European Union (EU) will be very useful in this regard.
An Analysis of Constraints to Economic and Trade Cooperation between the Chin...Dr. Amarjeet Singh
The constraints in the economic and trade cooperation of the China-Africa community of shared future that cannot neglect. The main constraints to the development of China-Africa economic cooperation include the imbalance of China-Africa economic and trade, the unitary commodity structure, and competition in the international market. There are differences in the political and legal values between China and Africa. Western developed countries restrict and exclude the economic cooperation between the Chinese and African communities, fabricate the China threat theory, and seek energy and political interests to disrupt the smooth development of China-Africa economic and trade cooperation.
This study is desired to assess the impact of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) on the local

This article was aimed to study the environment and the co-movement of China’s economic growth together with
Thailand under economic and macro-finance dimensions by collecting information from academic literatures, global
organization reports, and historical data from opened source database such as World Bank, United Nations,
International Monetary Fund (IMF), and other relatives. The study found that China’s and Thailand’s economic
activities are related particularly in term of trade but the low investment. In fact, services industry has replaced
industrial manufacture to be the influent factor on gross domestic product (GDP) in both two countries. Moreover,
enhancing to promote world- class capital markets and financial system development in China has drawn attraction
from Thailand investors to invest more than a half of Thailand’s direct investment funds in financial firms and
activities in China in 2017. In the conclusion, Thailand’s economic growth is still relied on China’s demand for raw
materials according to goods and products they have exported to China. The suggestion for Thailand is to create their
own technology like China’s development model in order to produce valuable goods and services productivity. And
for both countries, China and Thailand should also have to focus on income distribution through other areas outside
the city under the principal of economic development to improve the welfare of the population.
Pursuing any development or neighborhood plan today involves working with a myriad of actors beyond professional collaborators during planning and design phases. These include direct abutters, surrounding neighbors, elected officials, public agencies, opponents (often), investors, financial institutions, and regulators, all billed as “stakeholders.” Navigating the shoals created by cadres of stakeholders is perhaps the greatest challenge to pursuing sophisticated
ideas about and goals for urban-ism. Consensus around goals that aren’t very ambitious is, unfortunately, common.
However, rather than-wallow in despair about the unpredictable nature of decentralized processes, urban designers must learn to be more effective collaborators, willing participants in true interdisciplinary endeavors, and advocates for ideas not always their own, ideas that have the potential to rally others around higher expectations, not expedient solutions.

UNDERSTANDING WHAT GREEN WASHING IS!.pdfJulietMogola
Many companies today use green washing to lure the public into thinking they are conserving the environment but in real sense they are doing more harm. There have been such several cases from very big companies here in Kenya and also globally. This ranges from various sectors from manufacturing and goes to consumer products. Educating people on greenwashing will enable people to make better choices based on their analysis and not on what they see on marketing sites.

Improving the viability of probiotics by encapsulation methods for developmen...Open Access Research Paper
The popularity of functional foods among scientists and common people has been increasing day by day. Awareness and modernization make the consumer think better regarding food and nutrition. Now a day’s individual knows very well about the relation between food consumption and disease prevalence. Humans have a diversity of microbes in the gut that together form the gut microflora. Probiotics are the health-promoting live microbial cells improve host health through gut and brain connection and fighting against harmful bacteria. Bifidobacterium and Lactobacillus are the two bacterial genera which are considered to be probiotic. These good bacteria are facing challenges of viability. There are so many factors such as sensitivity to heat, pH, acidity, osmotic effect, mechanical shear, chemical components, freezing and storage time as well which affects the viability of probiotics in the dairy food matrix as well as in the gut. Multiple efforts have been done in the past and ongoing in present for these beneficial microbial population stability until their destination in the gut. One of a useful technique known as microencapsulation makes the probiotic effective in the diversified conditions and maintain these microbe’s community to the optimum level for achieving targeted benefits. Dairy products are found to be an ideal vehicle for probiotic incorporation. It has been seen that the encapsulated microbial cells show higher viability than the free cells in different processing and storage conditions as well as against bile salts in the gut. They make the food functional when incorporated, without affecting the product sensory characteristics.
Microbial characterisation and identification, and potability of River Kuywa ...Open Access Research Paper
Water contamination is one of the major causes of water borne diseases worldwide. In Kenya, approximately 43% of people lack access to potable water due to human contamination. River Kuywa water is currently experiencing contamination due to human activities. Its water is widely used for domestic, agricultural, industrial and recreational purposes. This study aimed at characterizing bacteria and fungi in river Kuywa water. Water samples were randomly collected from four sites of the river: site A (Matisi), site B (Ngwelo), site C (Nzoia water pump) and site D (Chalicha), during the dry season (January-March 2018) and wet season (April-July 2018) and were transported to Maseno University Microbiology and plant pathology laboratory for analysis. The characterization and identification of bacteria and fungi were carried out using standard microbiological techniques. Nine bacterial genera and three fungi were identified from Kuywa river water. Clostridium spp., Staphylococcus spp., Enterobacter spp., Streptococcus spp., E. coli, Klebsiella spp., Shigella spp., Proteus spp. and Salmonella spp. Fungi were Fusarium oxysporum, Aspergillus flavus complex and Penicillium species. Wet season recorded highest bacterial and fungal counts (6.61-7.66 and 3.83-6.75cfu/ml) respectively. The results indicated that the river Kuywa water is polluted and therefore unsafe for human consumption before treatment. It is therefore recommended that the communities to ensure that they boil water especially for drinking.
"Understanding the Carbon Cycle: Processes, Human Impacts, and Strategies for...MMariSelvam4
The carbon cycle is a critical component of Earth's environmental system, governing the movement and transformation of carbon through various reservoirs, including the atmosphere, oceans, soil, and living organisms. This complex cycle involves several key processes such as photosynthesis, respiration, decomposition, and carbon sequestration, each contributing to the regulation of carbon levels on the planet.
Human activities, particularly fossil fuel combustion and deforestation, have significantly altered the natural carbon cycle, leading to increased atmospheric carbon dioxide concentrations and driving climate change. Understanding the intricacies of the carbon cycle is essential for assessing the impacts of these changes and developing effective mitigation strategies.
By studying the carbon cycle, scientists can identify carbon sources and sinks, measure carbon fluxes, and predict future trends. This knowledge is crucial for crafting policies aimed at reducing carbon emissions, enhancing carbon storage, and promoting sustainable practices. The carbon cycle's interplay with climate systems, ecosystems, and human activities underscores its importance in maintaining a stable and healthy planet.
In-depth exploration of the carbon cycle reveals the delicate balance required to sustain life and the urgent need to address anthropogenic influences. Through research, education, and policy, we can work towards restoring equilibrium in the carbon cycle and ensuring a sustainable future for generations to come.

4. Ethiopia-China Political & Economical
relation background
Ethio-China Political Relation: Among the reasons for China
politically partnering with Ethiopia are: Addis Ababa being the seat of
the African Union’s (AU’s) headquarters, As well as the seat for
United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (ECA), its strategic
location, And finally its regional and continental role, the states
economic centrality
Ethio-China Economic Relation: Infrastructure projects in Ethiopia
has given Chinese construction companies several chances;
Chinese exports to Ethiopia are very popular; Additionally, Ethiopia
possesses a wealth of natural resources, particularly in the form of
cattle, mineral resources, supplies for the creation of renewable
energy.
key cooperation areas: the main key cooperation areas of Ethiopia and
china are; Infrastructure construction the African Union headquarters,
Addis Ababa - Adama expressway, Addis Ababa light railway, Addis
Ababa-Djibouti Railway, the National bank of Ethiopia, power plants,
water supply projects.
China’s loan commitment to Ethiopia: most of the above mentioned
projects are funded or built by Chinese investors. Majority of the projects
are financed by low-interest, concessional loan with 5 years of grace.
Which makes Ethiopia the second largest recipient of Chinese loans.
5. The International trade between
China & Ethiopia
Overview of the Trade Activities: Ethiopia as a center point with
international headquarters in its capital is source of attraction to China; and
is a huge potential for other regional markets. The international trade
between these two countries has grown steadily. The trade exchange
between China and Ethiopia was growing 35% annually on average since
2012.
The Volume of the Trade: China has become among the top destinations of
Ethiopia’s exports. In this report it observed that in terms of overall scale
ranking. And Ethiopia grew by 346 percent (2020) on its exports to
China.
The Balance of Trade: even though, the trade is growing the balance of trade
still favors China. Ethiopia recorded a trade deficit of $2366 million. On
the other hand China’s trade balance is on the positive side.
Ethiopia’s Imports from China: are mainly machinery and mechanical
equipments, electric appliances, rubbers, vehicles, manufactured products.
Ethiopia’s exports to China: Agricultural products ( mainly coffee, sesame
seeds & other oil seeds), leather, crude materials.
6. Problems for Growth of Ethio-
China International Trade
Unstable Political environment: Almost every once in a decade a civil war
keeps to happen in Ethiopia. Mostly, ethnic based wars; since end of
November 2020 there is still on going war in northern Ethiopia, Tigray.
With more than half million causalities, business shut down, and bad image
for Ethiopia on the international trade. And this is the main cause of
poverty and backwardness.
Foreign Currency shortage: The National Bank of Ethiopia’s reserve has
decreased, barely enough to fund 2 months’ worth of imports. Business
confirm the process to get foreign cash or the time it takes to receive is
unpredictable. 3 months – 1 full year.
Corruption: two kinds of corruption, political and petty. From minor to major
corruptions exist in the country, which downgrades the growth of the trade
and the country as a whole.
Improper TAX Administration: lack of Tax understanding main issue
between the Tax paying citizens and the authorities. Secondly, the
government imposes a high Tax on imported goods.
7. Problems for Growth of Ethio-
China International Trade
Infrastructure Related Problems: Transportation by land and air, water and
sanitation, energy, and information and communication technology are
among Ethiopia's infrastructure-related issues, Which makes it difficult for
the Import & Export trade relation.
8. Countermeasures to Improve the
China-Ethiopia Trade
Relationship
Policy Improvement: Most Trade infrastructures specially on the agriculture
side are delayed due to poor budgeting. To foster a productive work place
the government should adopt new rules that serve as guidelines for both
domestic and foreign Import & Exporters. Add low value-added un-
branded policy.
Improve security and Political Unstableness: Should solve the current
ongoing war immediately; cease fire from both sides; resolve the situation
by discussion.
Anti-Corruption framework: The Anti-corruption organization should work
fully independent from the government. It should give protection for
witnesses and whistleblowers. And the organization should be well funded.
Improve Government service level: The government must work to improve
the availability, accountability, and transparency of their workforce; and
should work to prevent favoritism and nepotism.
Promote domestic and foreign Import & Exporters: The government
should promote and give local investors special treatment in order to
compete with the Chinese Import Exporters. Do a better job at gathering
9. Countermeasures to Improve the
China-Ethiopia Trade
Relationship
And disseminating data on the international market & exporting needs.
Improve the Infrastructure: by using Ethiopia’s political and economical ties
with China, the government should give more focus on improving the
infrastructures like road, power supply, air ports, and so on.
