Ceanothus thyrsiflorus, also known as deerbrush or blueblossom, is a shrub with small glossy green leaves and clusters of blue flowers that resembles lilac when blooming. It forms dense thickets after fires or along new roads in its native habitat of the Klamath River Canyon, and can also be planted as an ornamental.
