Starting November 1st
Food for Fines
The Meade County Public Library will offer the chance to clear
fines from your library card by donating canned food
November 29th-December 30th. The library will give the items
for distribution to families in need.
Small cans (8oz.-10oz.) are worth $.50 each toward
reducing
your fines.
Medium cans (11oz.-14oz) are worth $1.00 each.
Large cans (15oz. and up) are worth $2.50 each.
Canned goods must be labeled, dent-free and within their
expiration date. No government-issued goods will be
accepted. There is no cash back if the worth of the canned
food is more than your fine. This program does not apply
towards paying for lost or damaged materials. And as
always, you are welcome to pay your fines in cash! Thank
you for your generosity!
