Reflections of the course and the
           team work
                    Dov Kipperman
Introduction
In this presentation I would like to share with all
of the team the individual assignment.
expectations, frustrations, interest ,challenge
and insights from the course and the team
work/process through using De Bono six hats.
 What hat color is most comfortable
               for you?

Answer: Black & White

• The White Hat calls for information known or needed.
  "The facts, just the facts."

• The Black Hat is judgment - the devil's advocate or why
something may not work. Spot the difficulties and
dangers; where things might go wrong. Probably the
most powerful and useful of the Hats but a problem if
  overused.
 What is the least comfortable for
                 you?
Answer: Red hat

The Red Hat signifies feelings, hunches and
intuition. When using this hat you can express
emotions and feelings and share fears, likes,
dislikes, loves, and hates.
 In your next team interaction, try
on several different "hats" and see
how they feel. Briefly describe the
                experience.
Well, This presentation is all about…
Why did I decided to share the
    individual assignment with you?
• To let you know how I feel and what I think
[That what friends are for, isn’t it ?]
• To experiment the tool [six hats]
• To evaluate as a team the effectiveness of the
tool [your feedback is most welcome]
• …hope it will improve our work [process and
  outcome]
…one more point before I start…
Why did I choose to present in that
            manner? [PPT]
Options:
 Word file - boring, uninterested
No one likes to read tons of information

 Video – time consuming

PPT – easy, focused,
So lets start….White hat
Reminder:
The White Hat calls for information known or
needed. "The facts, just the facts."

The fact is [from my point of view] that I still
don’t understand the structure of the
mindmiester tool
The problem:At night you worry
   about uncertain future

• What does the text in the white tags represent?
Solutions ? Cause and effects ?
• Will we move to part 3 [one creative solution ]
  based on this diagram ?
On the other hand…too much
information [not relevant…]
black hat

Reminder:
The Black Hat is judgment - the devil's advocate
or why something may not work. Spot the
difficulties and dangers; where things might go
wrong. Probably the most powerful and useful
of the Hats but a problem if overused.
Criticizing the venture lab system
  format for team communication

Where to find the latest posts you
sent ?

Where to reply/respond ?
Criticizing the venture lab system format for team
      communication

• Every morning I check my mail

Where to reply/respond ?
• for example: i reply through my e-mail as a reply
to one of the e-mails i received [from whom?]
and after posting i am not sure to where in the
  "conversation" it will appear.
• Am i totally wrong ? or it is only my problem?
Did you received it ?

• It was sent directly from my e-mail and only
after I realize that it dosn’t appear in
  conversation box .
Red hat

• Reminder:
The Red Hat signifies feelings, hunches and
intuition. When using this hat you can express
emotions and feelings and share fears, likes,
  dislikes, loves, and hates.
Did you received it ?
yellow hat
          Words of optimism-

     What are the benefits?
     What are the positives?
     What are the values?
Can this be made to work?

Answer: I am learning a lot about online
discussions…and about myself.
One last word….[just an insight]
• I wonder if all of this could not have been
done without using De bono six hats

        What do you think ?
Thank you for your patience
