Day three of the Wattle Grove Primary School 2013 year 7 camp to Kalgoorlie included prospecting for gold, building bush shelters, and visiting the historic town of Coolgardie. Students learned how to pan for gold and some even found small nuggets. They also worked in teams to build bush shelters out of natural materials. In Coolgardie, the group toured old buildings and mines and learned about the area's gold mining history from a local guide. That evening back at camp, they celebrated two student birthdays and played various games.
