1) The franchisees contributed around 20% of newly diagnosed smear-positive TB cases notified to the national TB program, helping to improve case detection.
2) Lower socioeconomic groups represented 68% of TB patients accessing care through the franchise, indicating it helped reach the poor.
3) The treatment success rate for new smear-positive cases through the franchise was 84%, close to the WHO target of 85% and similar to the national program rate.

The spread of the Ebola virus disease has major consequences on the African countries it has hit the hardest: Guinea, Liberia, and Sierra Leone. The death toll from the disease and associated losses pose great economic consequences.
More than 2,600 people have died in West Africa. Transportation companies suspended their operations to the countries for fear of contamination even though the World Health Organisation advised against it. So far, the economies are experiencing adverse effects with escalating food insecurities.
Sierra Leone and Liberia, two of the most hit countries, recently came out of more than a decade of gruesome civil wars. Their institutions are still fragile and the deprivation from the Ebola crisis could trigger ever bigger problems.
The youth played a major role in both the Sierra Leone and Liberia conflicts as a result of economic and social marginalization. Without an effective strategy to assure young people a brighter future of economic and social stability, impact of the 2014 Ebola crisis on food insecurity and social livelihoods could trigger an even greater post-Ebola crises.

Removing Uninteresting Bytes in Software Fuzzing
Imagine a world where software fuzzing, the process of mutating bytes in test seeds to uncover hidden and erroneous program behaviors, becomes faster and more effective. A lot depends on the initial seeds, which can significantly dictate the trajectory of a fuzzing campaign, particularly in terms of how long it takes to uncover interesting behaviour in your code. We introduce DIAR, a technique designed to speedup fuzzing campaigns by pinpointing and eliminating those uninteresting bytes in the seeds. Picture this: instead of wasting valuable resources on meaningless mutations in large, bloated seeds, DIAR removes the unnecessary bytes, streamlining the entire process.
In this work, we equipped AFL, a popular fuzzer, with DIAR and examined two critical Linux libraries -- Libxml's xmllint, a tool for parsing xml documents, and Binutil's readelf, an essential debugging and security analysis command-line tool used to display detailed information about ELF (Executable and Linkable Format). Our preliminary results show that AFL+DIAR does not only discover new paths more quickly but also achieves higher coverage overall. This work thus showcases how starting with lean and optimized seeds can lead to faster, more comprehensive fuzzing campaigns -- and DIAR helps you find such seeds.

- Thank you every one very much its a tremendous honor to be here in this international conference, the timing is now for the field of mHealth I have some great tips and stories from New Zealand for you all. Now coming from new Zealand, how many people have heard of NZ can i get a raise of hands? Great, Well for those of you who are curious, its a jewel and words cant describe it - So have a look at this video! Bla Bla Bla….
- The New Zealand Health Market - I want to give you a quick snap-shot of the healthcare market in NZ with MOH, National Health Board, District Health Boards
- Healthcare currently amounts to 20% of government spending and in 20 years, at this rate it is expected to reach 40%....Offcourse this is deemed by all as unsustainable…
- So where the heck do we start to rollout mHealth, back in 2006 we started with GP practices and clinicians. Proved that the system improves access to primary care services & scaled it to PHO's for regional roll outs. Once proven at a regional PHO Level, the system was adopted by secondary care hospitals and regions We found that we had to develop a business case for everyone in the health eco system to buy into the system for successful rollouts. Business case draw for each bubble in the eco system. IF ITS NOT EASY FOR CLINICANS: IT WONT BE USED! Simple as that!!!
