DMAOnline is a platform that aims to provide all research data management (RDM) information in a single dashboard. It will allow RDM managers to monitor metrics like the number of data management plans created and disk space usage over time. University vice-chancellors will be able to get an overview of their institution's compliance with funder expectations. The tool is being developed in phases and has the potential to be adopted sector-wide. It uses open standards and plugins to integrate with systems like EPrints, Pure, and DSpace. The project aims to improve RDM efficiency and enable collaborative benchmarking.

This paper is all about a study that is mainly focused on daily work management (DWM) charts at TVS Motor Company, Mysuru. The objective is to study the process of managing DWM charts and simplification of the process and its impact on the team leader’s decision-making process. The essential information has been gathered from the team leaders of the engine and vehicle assembly through face-to-face interviews, observation, and a deep study of current DWM charts. Secondary information was gathered from books, journals, articles, and websites. Implementation of a dashboard has caused various effects on the DWM of team leaders in different ways one of the major impacts is the reduction (40%) in the time the team leader takes to store the data. It also resulted in a reduction in the shift handover time due to the availability of relevant data in the digitalized format. Not only this, the implementation of digitalized format has also reduced paper consumption in the organization to a greater extent. It has been noticed that the shift handing over time has been reduced to 20 min from 30 min due to a simpler and more precise representation of data from the previous shift through dashboards. Since it has been proved that the digitalization of DWM charts has reduced non-value activities of the team leaders, digitalization of DWM charts can be made in the other units as well.

Certain systems are more data focused than others. Usually their primary focus is on accomplishing integration of disparate data. In these cases, failure is most often attributable to the adoption of a single pillar (silver bullet). The three webinars in the Data Systems Integration and Business Value series are designed to illustrate that good systems development more often depends on at least three DM disciplines (pie wedges) in order to provide a solid foundation. Integrating data across systems has been a perpetual challenge. Unfortunately, the current technology-focused solutions have not helped IT to improve its dismal project success statistics. Data warehouses, BI implementations, and general analytical efforts achieve the same levels of success as other IT projects – approximately 1/3rd are considered successes when measured against price, schedule, or functionality objectives. The first step is determining the appropriate analysis approach to the data system integration challenge. The second step is understanding the strengths and weaknesses of various approaches. Turns out that proper analysis at this stage makes actual technology selection far more accurate. Only when these are accomplished can proper matching between problem and capabilities be achieved as the third step and true business value be delivered.
