I teamedupwith;AdamHughesand BrandonMcNamara. We
decidedtomake a 2D platformerwithshooterandswordfighting
elements.Alongwith,avisual novel styledelementfor
conversations.We alsoremade ourschedule andbegan
researchingsome 2Dgamesand some goodexamplesof visual
novel elements.We startedTask1.
Nextweek.We have plannedtofinishTask1 and
continue doingmore researchandplanningforour
project.

we have the time we alsoplanon gettingthe pitch
done.

pitch.Plus,we’ll collectthe surveyanswers.

discussionwe hadoverthe internetandbegantodocumentthose
ideasas well asgatherimagesof gamesthat share a similarstyle to
the game we wishtocreate. This weekIdidn’tworkas well as
maybe I couldhave,Ifelta little bombardedwithall the other
assignmentsfromotherlessonsthatIjustneededtotake some
time to justzone outat home ratherthan continue working.

Productionprogressedwell thisweek.A lotgotdone.Spriteswere
made,scripts createdand othersfixed,artworkismovingalonga
nice pace and the story/characterdialogue scriptswasfinally
agreedonand finalised.
Nextweekwe planongettingmostof the spritesmade
and a lotmore art workdone.The current versionof the
techdemowill be drasticallyimproveduponwithnew
additional scripts,creatingmore gameplaymechanics.

Thisweekwe continuedtoproduce sprites,howeverthe
animationof the spriteshasyetto begin.We decidedthatitwould
be a betterideatocreate all of the spritesbefore beginningthe
animation.Overallprogresswentwell butcommunicationwasa
little variedanddifficultmakingproductionhardsometimes.
Nextweekhopefullywe canimprove uponour
communicatingskillsandworkmore efficientlyby
workingtogether.Spritesare the mainfocusof next
week.

Thisweekall mostall of the spritesare going toocompletedwith
animationbeingakeyfocusof thisweek’splanof attack. Our
progresssofar is goodand we are on track againafterslightly
beingbehind.Workflowisconstantandconsistent.
Nextweekall of ourspriteswill (hopefully)be overand
done withanda decentamountof the spriteswill be
fullyanimated.

a fewof the spritesactuallygotanimated.Unfortunatelynotall
spritesexistyet.A fewmore complex“boss”spritesstillneedtobe
createdthenanimated.Tile setsandbackgroundsbegancreation
but progressed slowly due tothe mainfocusof animation.
Progresswasslowdue to the sheerdifficultyof the work. IknowI
reallystruggled.
