This document announces a series of conferences on liberalism and related topics to be held on Fridays in November and December in Valencia, Spain. The conferences will address Jean-François Revel's liberal perspective against totalitarianism, Carl Schmitt's concept of political enmity in historical context, Walter Benjamin's views on progress and personal freedom in his Theses on the Philosophy of History, Alexis de Tocqueville's epic liberalism, and Karl Popper's view of liberty as responsibility versus liberty as impunity. Each conference will feature a main speaker and introduction by another person.
