Cyber bullies use technology to harm others online. To avoid bullying, do not share personal information on the internet and tell a trusted adult if you are being bullied. Personal information includes your name, address, phone number and should always be kept private. Respect others online and avoid harmful behaviors like trolling, lurking, spreading rumors or insulting others which could have negative consequences. If someone is mean online, stay calm and consider it may be a misunderstanding before getting angry. Help educate others about proper online etiquette.

 To avoid a lurker, tell them how
to use good netiquette and
also tell your parents.
Example: If someone is looking at your

back.

10. If someone insults you, be calm
If you get really angry on the internet, ignore them
and stay calm. This will relax you and could help you
figure out if it was just a misunderstanding.

11. Avoid crashing a discussion group
Stay away from crashing a group because this action
could start a flame war. This action could also get you
kicked of that site.

12. Help others learn about netiquette
Teach others about netiquette like
teachers, friends, and even your parents. Help them
understand how to use netiquette.
